TLDR: Excellent, wonderful, huge portions – eat here! Updated
We ordered the Torta Cubana, Carne Asada, Birria Tacos and the Birria Burrito. The last three were described as “very good”, “excellent” and “one of the best ever” respectively. This review, however, is about the Torta Cubana.
As named: Despite the name, it shared no resemblance to a true Cuban sandwich other than it did, indeed, have pork products between bread.
What it was: An absolute train wreck of a sandwich ingredients including a grilled, split hot dog, ham, a breaded and fried pork patty, avocado, onions, cheese, jalapenos, sauces and several other “somethings.” This was a sandwich that should never, in any universe, be edible.
How it tasted: Easily one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Somehow the culinary magic and skill in that little food truck turned this bizarre collection of ingredients into a perfectly balanced taste experience. Each ingredient was fresh and easily identifiable as you ate – nothing got “lost” in the mix and everything very much added to the huge container of Heaven that I received (seriously, this is a meal for at least two people.) I’ve been thinking about it ever since and I still don’t have a clue how they pulled this off but I’m so very, very much looking forward to having another – and trying the other (I’m sure) perfectly delicious offerings they have.
Highly, highly recommended.
Update: Went back the next day and we had more Birria Burritos, Birria Quesadillas, Carne Asada tacos, Sopes and Mulitas. All agreed that it was some of the best we have ever had - and this is from people that were born and raised in a small town in New Mexico and spent a fair amount of time traveling in rural Mexico itself. This is the real deal and...
Read moreThe place is amazing, the foods is the best I have ever had. The service is impeccable, you can tell she really puts love in her food. I work very close to her taco stand, so I can see how hard they work to serve and give back to our community. Celias kitchen is always clean, there is never a time you can walk up and not see her scores posted for you to see, and they are always 100. They pressure wash in the morning before they open, and then again before she close. I well continue to eat lunch there my 2 to 3 times a week, Love the watermelon and cantaloupe water. Also if you see 40 people standing in line don't hesitate to stop. They're very fast and proficient. And they're always consistent thumbs up to you at Celia's kitchen, you have done a...
Read moreCelia's Kitchen is awesome! If you are in search of authentic mexican food stop looking and head to Celia's Kitchen. We moved here from Los Angeles five years ago and had been searching for good mexican food. Celia's is now our go to place. We recently used them to cater our Quinceanera. The food was a hit with everyone. Celia was able to accommodate dietary restrictions for some of our guests such as gluten-free and vegetarian options. Celia's Kitchen is a 5-star operation. Friendly, professional staff, amazing authentic food, and at a...
