We arrived 5 minutes early (10:55) with our 91 year old grandpa, who uses a walker. It was also raining. It was my twinsâ second birthday party. Scheduled to start at 11. The door was locked and the phone went straight to voicemail. They unlocked the door for an employee and I kindly requested if it were possible to just let us in so grandpa could sit down. I was informed that âIâll ask!!â And the door was promptly shut and locked again. Several minutes later (literally 10:57), she returned, opened the door for another entering employee.. and locked the door behind her again. We were not asking to come in early to ârush the floorâ or anything. We simply wanted our elderly grandpa to be able to sit down again. Apparently that was too much to ask.
When we finally did get inside (11:01), we went to register our party. And there was no record of it. Our part was âsupposedâ to start at 11, but we didnât get checked in entirely until 11:30.. because they had to input our party info or something. There were listed 3 parties, that all started at 1 pm. Our guests couldnât check in until the party was created. Meanwhile walk-Ins were just walking back with no issue. Try explaining to a bunch of 2 and 3 year olds that you canât go play get because of âcomputer problemsâ.
So, we paid for a party from 11-1. Kindly requested to do nothing but enter 5 minutes early so our elderly grandpa could sit down. They declined. Us and the entire party had to wait until 11:30 to actually check in because of THEIR error in not putting in our information.. and finally being able to âplay for an hour before the partyâ.. it was really only about 15 minutes.
The party overall was ok. We didnât have to clean up. The provided pizza was good and we appreciated the âparty coordinator.â She was the one good thing about the whole experience. What was supposed to be an enjoyable, care free day.. turned into a disaster for the first 45...
Read moreLetâs play is absolutely and ingenious idea for kids to play and work out tons of energy. While you do have to sign a waver to get in and there are signs that clearly state that parents should be watching their kids, I think that there should be staff members in each area of the play center wearing uniforms that clearly state who they are for kids and parents to have easy access to them if need be. Recently, I took my son to Letâs play bc it is a wonderful place for him. I am a former teacher and I watch not only my child but others. On this day there was a boy who was pushing little children off a rotating climbing feature. While several parents stepped up, not one staff member witness these events. Why? They all work the counter and parties. Also, if they had more staff to monitor the children, they could enforce the rules of each play area. It should NOT be up to parents to tell older, taller children to leave the toddler area so that the little children can play in a safe environment. If parents have to sign a waver to play, but the rules are not enforced and for all intense and purposes ignored by management and staff, the waiver is basically a formality and useless. I would be in their best interest to also have more monitoring. Other than the lack of monitoring of children and play areas, my son really enjoys the play area and I enjoy him working out all his energy. The children have a good time. Saturdays are extremely busy and...
Read moreI always do my kids parties at home but with the remodel I thought it would be a good idea to go to Letâs Play⌠upon arrival the filling out the waiver for my adults to SIT in the room was insane. I had a few guests leave. My in-laws left because they couldnât even wear their shoes in the party room. During my daughter âspecialâ dance party there were kids AND PARENTS all in the way and my daughters and their friends had NO ROOM to meet the character or dance. Then I was told each kid would get a juice or water⌠THEY NEVER DID. Me and my guests had to purchase every drink and then they ran out of waters. Then I was told my pizza was running late and they closed in 30 minutes so I needed to go ahead and do cake and take the pizza to go. So we had to eat cake BEFORE pizza⌠(still with no drinks). The pizza finally arrived and we did end up eating pizza there before we left but it was just all messed up!! Definitely disappointed!!
**EDITING: the manager was super upset about what happened and was sincerely apologetic. She gave both my toddler 5 FREE PLAY PASSES to use whenever they want. The donât expire or anything. She understood my frustration and had spoke with all her staff on how to do...
