Spencer's — Local services in Huntsville

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted gently and gingerly by a man, he looked me up and down with cautious but intrigued eyes, gazing into my very thoughts. He asked me if there was anything he could help me with, and I responded with a passing “No thank you, just looking.” A wry smirk appeared on his face and he slinked back into the recesses of Spencer’s. I continued my search, my untailored and unsure bout inside the stores library of items. As I approached the wall of pleasure rods, with the intent of obtaining one, I felt a presence behind me, looming, waiting. A strong, firm hand grasped my shoulder, “do you need help with anything?” I fumbled on my words, my palms grew sweaty and my forehead beaded with perspiration in opalescent drops. It felt that the temperature had increased. I could only reply, “No.” in my shock. He caressed me and replied, “if you’re looking for something a bit bigger, I can maybe find it for you in the back.” I shook my head, terrified, and in my reluctance, he sighed and let go. His presence faded, and I never saw him again as I bolted out of the store. Please, if anyone knows this man, help me know he wasn’t a phantom of my mind, an apparition of my soul. I went in there today with my three year old who is pretty rambunctious, to look at earrings and just shop around. I guess the lady working could tell that he was giving me a hard time while I was looking for earrings so she went out of her way to get some colors and a piece of paper and color with him so I could continue to shop. I'm not sure if her name but she had an undercut and tattoos on her hands.to some this may not be a big deal but to me this was everything not only was I able to get what I needed but I also had help in more ways than one. I appreciate this so much and there needs to be more people like her out there. to go out of your way to help a customer with a kid is a pretty big deal in this world so thank you so much. The customer service was amazing and it didn't stop with her my son decided he wanted to get a little toy gumball machine at checkout and the guy behind the counter which I believe was a manager even...

This place was a staple in any good mall back in the 90s, so I was SO HAPPY to see this store while visiting Huntsville! The music selection was great (nice sound system), and there were plenty of fun and naughty novelty items. I even found a dope Golden Girls t-shirt sold at 2/$22. Talking about 90s prices!!

Despite the intentional clutter, the store was well clean and well organized. The staff was SUPER friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming.
