Update: Tracy emailed me upset about me posting this review. Also in the email, she told me that parents JUST complained about my kids behavior. BUT, guess what?? My child has NOT been to that school in 3 days! So parents complained about him and he wasn't there?? So all black boys look alike now?? So am I supposed to be scared that she sent me an email about my review and MY experience with the school. She needs to do better and get her story together.

So now I will tell what happened.

Tracy told me that my child was acting up and has been acting up in the classes. My child attended this school for two weeks and I didn't hear one word about any issues. Actually, one of the teachers told me how smart she thought he was. He misses a good 3 weeks after that. He then starts again this week ( July 15th to be exact) He is there all day. I pick him up and see Tracy and she says NOTHING about his behavior. I drop him off on Tuesday the 16th and she then speaks loudly to me and told me that my son was jumping around and broke the hand on a mannequin. She said he doesn't listen. I'm shocked and ask her why didn't she tell me when I picked him up. She said she didn't see me. Not true. She actually had someone go and get him and bring him to me when I picked him up. So she didn't think to tell me then?? How bad he is?? How kids don't like him?? Interesting. I go back and forth with her some then I leave him there. My child did break the hand on the mannequin. He said it was an accident. He said that Tracy told him that there is no such thing as accidents. She also told me that my child said he has behavior issues. Now hes 8. This is a CHILD! She said well I can only believe what he said. Really?? Like is she an idiot?? AGAIN NOT ONE CALL TO ME.

Let me be clear. My child has NEVER had any issues in school. The only calls I get from teachers are positive ones.

I decide quickly to go get my child. Something was off. I went and picked him up at 1030. She said oh he's fine now he's acting fine. Oh he's fine now but this morning he was basically a damn heathen. No I am good. We are leaving. He NEVER returned. I post a review saying my experience at this school was terrible. She then emails me and say that parents just emailed her about my childs behavior. How? My kid? The kid that hasn't been there in 2 full days and who was only there 30 min Tuesday?? That kid. Oh I forgot. She told me that they spent weeks of camp trying to get my child's behavior corrected. Mind you he didn't go to the school for 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm confused. No, I'm not confused. Tracy is. But its ok. We never returned. She wont have another second to traumatize my child. So she emailed me letting me know that she didn't like that I posted the review and that she will have to tell the story. Well ok let me do it as well so I can make sure that it gets told correctly.

By the way, the other instructor was fine. She was actually nice and I think she was honest. I wont group them all...

There is so many wonderful things to say about Art Castle. The first one is of acceptance for all. Art is a very unique and personal journey. Our daughter started going with a friend when she was in 2nd grade. She liked it so much she started going to classic art classes then added digital art as well. She always felt that she could explore any kind of art and designs. Ms. Tracy helped give her the space and guidance for her to learn and gain confidence in her own abilities. She also had the same experience in her digital art classes with Brandon. Ms. Gail really helped her find her love of charcoal pastels. Madison gave her the push to ventured out to paint portraits. Our daughter grew up there with with support and true feeling of family. She even help with there in the summers so I would come in and visit. They manage to have so many kids and I can say they treat everyone the same and provide opportunities since they only want everyone to experience and enjoy art. We would want everyone to have a place like this to help foster a love and passion for art. We are eternally grate for everything poured into our daughter....

Art Castle is THE BEST!! All of the teachers here are so nice, supportive, and knowledgeable. I started going to Art Castle since I was eight, and all of my summers spent here were so memorable, and I learned lasting lessons in art I will never, ever forget. Without Art Castle, I don't think I would've accomplished what I've accomplished without the amazing lessons taught here. My endless summers of lessons has eventually gotten me to the point where I was in Fort Worth's Mayor Mattie Parker's art competition this year, thanks to Mrs. Tracy and Mrs. Gail!!! If you want to learn amazing techniques that will last a lifetime go here!! The classes are extremely well-rounded, and there's something for everyone!
