UPDATE: Finally got through to someone at 7:45pm and placed my order. Food got delivered at 8:10pm and it is amazing as usual, so I upgraded my rating by a couple of stars. They need to make that place bigger..there is too much demand.
FIRST POST: Called at 6:35pm on a Tuesday night and the person on the phone told me they were busy and actually asked me to call back in 10 minutes..I couldn't believe it, but I was polite and obliged. 10 minutes later I started dialing, but between busy signal and no one picking up, it took me another 10 minutes to get through. At 6:55 someone answered (different person). Again I was polite and did not mention my previous conversation. I told them I would like to place an order for delivery. They said they are very busy and that it would take one hour. I said that is fine. I gave my address and phone number and placed the order. However, before I could provide payment information, the person hung up. I tried calling back from my wife's number, in case they were trying to call me back on the number I provided. I kept dialing over and over again for 25 minutes (probably dialed close to 100 times). The phone just rang and rang..if someone was answering the phones I would have gotten through in that time frame. At the very least I would have expected the person to call me back if they hung up by accident. I like the food here, but this is a very...
Read moreThai Thip, a Thai food restaurant located in Hurst, was a spur of the moment dinner decision that ended up being the best part of our entire day! Their Google ratings, a 4.6 at the time of this review, is very well earned! In fact, we’d easily give them more than 5 stars if that was an option!
Menu Options: Their vast menu includes appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, specialty dishes, noodle dishes, curries, fried rice, desserts, sides, and a children’s menu. Their beverages include both hot and Boba teas.
Dietary Restrictions: Their menu was easily customizable to the dietary needs of vegetarians and vegans with the regular menu having multiple options for both groups. Most entrees allow the customer to choose their protein from tofu, beef, chicken, pork or seafood.
Our order: I ordered the Mixed Vegetable Delight which was a multitude of fresh vegetables in a sweet and savory brown sauce that was served with an enormous pile of white rice. My husband ordered one of their house specialties - the Spicy Basil Duck which also arrived with fresh veggies and an enormous pile of rice.
Pros: EASILY the best Thai food we’ve ever had! The service was awesome, the plating was beautiful and we’re already planning our return in the next couple of weeks!
Cons: It was so spectacular that I can’t think of a single thing to complain about! Do yourself a favor and give them a try. You’ll be blown away...
Read moreOur experience at this restaurant was top shelf! Upon entering the establishment we were warmly greeted by the staff. They are very friendly and sincere. They staff is also very grateful for your patronage. It is nice to go to a restaurant and feel like they want you there, which Thai Thip definitely does! We ordered the Spring Rolls and a cream cheese appetizer. While I am not a big fan of cream cheese, i found that appetizer was good, and mt GF definitely loved them. We both enjoyed the Spring Rolls and the Thai peanut sauce it comes with immensely. We each ordered an entree and they were both hot (temp), fresh and amazing! When they took our order they explained certain things about each dish. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and willing to share their thoughts on any/every item. Overall this was just a fantastic experience. On every front, the staff exceeded our expectations (Greeting/friendly/clean facilities/great food/nice atmosphere). And oh, you have to watch their pet fish chase each other around the tank, it is very entertaining. If you like Asian/Thai food, you have to check this place out! We plan to go back at least once per every two weeks to...
