A great addition to town! Joined them for their grand opening on Saturday. The reception was fantastic and well-deserved. They've got a huge amount of stock for board games and Magic, and a small section for Tabletop PRG's as well.
They serve snacks in the building, and there was a dedicated kids playroom there as well which I've never seen at a game store like this before. Staff was super nice and the gentleman who runs one of the Utah locations was there for the grand opening as well, great to see such support from others in the company.
I had spoken to the owner of this location a few days prior, and even with hundreds of people coming through the store on Saturday, he saw me, remembered my name, and even what I did for work.
They have a section of board games you can pull out and play for free in the store, and you can also rent them out for $5 a week. They let me know they'll be adding to options on that shelf weekly. My wife and I rented one out and played it over the weekend and loved it. If you want a cheap and awesome date night, go there and play for free, or grab a game for $5 for an awesome night at home.
I was curious on what value they were going to add with the other games stores already in the area but this has already become one of...
Read moreHave been wanting to make it over to this shop since it opened and made it over yesterday! It is really the nicest game shop I’ve ever been in 🥳 their game playing space is amazing. No ratty table in the corner covered in a days long strategy game :) there is plenty of space for families and hard core gamers to play and feel comfortable! The space is clean and bright (and not stinky 😂).
The way they have organized their games makes choosing one really accessible for the lay board gamer. But as a board gaming family, their selection is terrific! Not the most comprehensive inventory, but quality is top notch. I LOVE their kids room and their selection of demo games. They have really made this an inclusive shop for both families and intense gamers. Hoping the construction outside can finish soon so their curb...
Read moreWent in for the first time Yesterday. Looks like they are still doing some work on the outside. Parking was a little tight with an event going on. Loved that the store seems to have a decent focus on board games. Other stores in Idaho falls seem to have more of a focus on miniatures or cards and I appreciate that they have a display of board games that is easy to approach listing popular game categories i.e. family, 2-player, light strategy, strategy etc. Was pleasantly surprised to see Mistborn: a deckbuilding game on their shelves too which just released. They have a really good sized space too which bodes well for expanding in the future. Also love that they have a demo wall to allow you to look at games you might want to check out before buying. Definitely recommend dropping by and...
