I have NEVER in my life heard a shoe salesman tell a customer no to just try on some boots. My boyfriend needed a good pair of work boots and since he hasn’t bought boots in such a long time, it was hard for him to feel the comfort of the boot. When he tried on this boot, he told me and the shoe salesman that his toes were a little too loose but we both ensured him that he needed the space for comfort. So he decided to get the boots with that obvious uncertainty look in his face. We left and just went across the street and walked around the mall a bit. He decided the boots were slightly too big and it wasn’t going to work. So (not even an hour) we go back to exchange the size. The shoe salesman clearly was upset with us but he pulled out the other size and then he did a return on the boots. After the return, we asked to have him try the other boot and the shoe salesman says no. (Quick note: the boots were over $200) I understand why he was upset but if those boots fit him just right, we would have bought them and left. He would have made that $200 sale. But instead, he did a return and lost $200 and a couple of customers forever. I was a shoe saleswoman in my past and if you don’t want someone to return an item, YOU TELL THEM BEFORE THEY PURCHASE IT!! Especially with shoes?? And here’s another thing. We TOLD him we drove an hour to that store so he KNEW we couldn’t just go home and walk around the house and try it out that way. Absolutely FANTASTIC customer service and very, very friendly. We spent two days driving all over town, scouring the internet, and making phone calls trying to find a specific type of pants my daughter needs for her new job. She is very petite and very hard to fit, so we were coming up empty and desperate since she's starting work soon. We stopped in at Work Wear House just to check the stock, but were feeling pretty hopeless by that point. The owner didn't seem to have what we needed, but asked more questions when she suddenly had a thought "pop to mind." She went in the back and came out with a couple pairs of pants she said my daughter could try, as she wasn't sure they'd work, but....voila, they FIT! I really feel the owner was inspired, as we were just praying for help to find what we needed anywhere in town. The fact that these pants were just sitting in the back AND that she suddenly remembered them was amazing. Not only did we get exactly what my daughter needs, but the owner was able to offload two pairs of pants that it didn't look like anyone else would be buying--plus, they were at a great price when everything else we'd seen was priced 2, 3, and even 4 times higher. This is a great store with plenty of selection and good prices but the main reason for the five stars is the employees that I have met there. Everybody is very helpful and goes out of their way to find you what you need. The owners are very nice and helpful and Savanna is the brightest, friendliest, and most helpful store employee I have ever run into. As for the people who say it is expensive I can tell you I shop all over town and they are not overpriced. You may save a couple dollars ordering online at Amazon but then you have to hope that you get the package and your credit card doesn't get hacked and that their product fits you when it arrives.
