Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in Idaho Falls

For our visit at Perkins in Idaho Falls last night, I really wish there was a zero star rating. The restaurant was full, but we were offered a table with a chair and padded bench. in the farthest corner. No problem, we took it. Waited about 8-10 minutes with our menus waiting for service. Finally a waiter from another table brought us water and said he'd get our waitress. Another 10 minutes passed and all we had seen were 2 different waitresses who peeked around the corner and saw us there with menus closed. Still no waitress came to serve us. Three people were seated next to us. We visited and told them we were about to leave because after 20 minutes our orders had not been taken. Then a waitress came with waters for these diners. In an attempt to serve the waters, her tray flipped and all the waters spilled on my legs. At this point, we promptly left our seats and requested the manager. She was very sorry, offered to serve us herself and gave us two $10 complimentary gift certificates. Too little too late. At this point I'm not sure if we will even use them. We usually go here once a month for breakfast but today will be the last time. We ordered omelets and expected normal size omelets like we usually get. When we got our plates we asked if there was a mistake because the omelets were tiny. The waitress said they were cutting portions sizes down. We also asked for regular hashbrowns and instead one of us got breakfast potatoes. She goes back and brings her hashbrowns. We asked why there was a difference in the size of our two orders. She said she wasn't sure. After a few bites my friend noticed they put mushrooms in her omelet which she didn't ask for. We asked for the manager to please explain to us why our plates looked like they were from the kids menu but the people next to us got regular size omelets. He said it was because we obviously ate half of our food. I told him I haven't even touched my plate yet. That this was how it was served to us. He continued to argue and then stormed off mad. All we wanted to know was why we were served child size portions for full price while others received normal...

I understand places are understaffed.... but when the manager comes and gets our drink orders, then the waitress that is supposed to be serving us LITERALLY walks past me SEVERAL times, with eye contact and all, and COMPLETELY IGNORES me. I was on the phone when the manager approached us to get our drinks .... so if the manager can take our drink order why couldn't she have gotten our food order? So after I got tired of being ignored. My son and I went to the front to pay for coffee and juice. The waitress was arrogant and dismissive and then.... LOL she didn't know how to operate the register. Someone helped her but they charged me 10 dollars for coffee and juice. Then when I handed the waitress cash to pay ($20bill) she looked at it like it was an alien life form and didn't know what to do next so I just said screw it and left. NO ONE FROM MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, OR COMPANY WILL EVER RETURN TO THIS PERKINS. Insulting. Maybe it was racial thing.... I dont know. But beware people Perkins in Idaho Falls has THE WORST service this side...
