This store may not have a wide range of different exotic types of yarn, but there is always 'enough' yarn there. That is to say that if you're knitting a big project like a sweater or blanket there's no annoying "but we can order it for you" situation; the amount you need is always IN THE STORE. Instant gratification. To me, that's just an excellent way to do business. That's why you go to a store rather than ordering it yourself online, so you can buy it in person, then go home and start your project! Part of it is that she is an online retailer herself, but the store itself is also organized very well. Many different types are yarn crafts are represented including hand knitting, machine knitting, and crochet. This store carries every color of Cascade 220 that exists, as far as I remember. At first when my mom and I arrived there the place didn't look like an actual yarn store - even though I reviewed and seen pics online. Our Uber driver kept asking us if we were sure of where we were going because he had nevwr been to this part of Independence MO before. Not to mention he was an older Black man which made my mom and I quite aware of what he was saying and not saying. Anyhoo, we walked in, and it was wall to wall yarn and EXTREMELY organized. The owners Rita and Angelika were very nice and accommodating....my only ask is that they put some kind of sign on Dodgion and Truman so that people know it's an actual yarn store. If you're a person of color reading this, try not to go alone. Lol...Lbvs. Otherwise the yarn is quite decadent and I'd go again......

I had been searching and searching for someplace to purchase Cascade 220 yarn. (making harry potter house scarves for all my family members for yule) Every time I thought I had found a place I would get to the site and they would have a few, very few colors in Cascade 220. Then I found Angelika's Yarn Store. I can't imagine not finding the color you need here! It's really the largest selection I have seen to date. I'm so happy to have found them!
