I did a return, I figured I’ll take the large items to the side were there taking pick up orders. The older male that was standing appear to be talking to someone that was at a desk at the first door to the left, when you entered in. He ask can I help you? I told him that I’m doing a return He replied you have to take it to the front. I told him, I’ve have an large large item and it’s pretty heavy I figure I’ll take it down where it say pick up and he told me that’s not how it works. You have to take it to the front and someone will get it from there. I Went to the front were there was two ladies was there to assist me. I told them that I’m here to do a return they told me you have to take it where it says pick up!! I told them what the older man have told me. They look at each othe and one of them said weird. Then she ask me to bring in the item After I told her that it’s a large item. Luckily I’m a mover and keep an dolly in my vehicle. (So no problem.) When I was bringing in the item on my dolly a third lady appears to be a supervisor stopped me and aggressively told me I need to bring it around the side. Where it says pick up? Before I can explain to her the first two ladies explain why I am in the front. she also have a strange look on her face saying OK? I dropped off Large item in front of the counter. One of the ladies was attempting to remove the items and put it somewhere at the customers way so I offered to use my dolly and move it somewhere that she’d like about 30 feet away. (Which was find, I’m a mover) Finally, I got the item. Return.
Can’t help but think since I am a black man and every worker I talk to was white, including the man that told me to bring the item in the front this is seems like it’s because my color and everyone’s stuck together in that building.
I believe the ladies was just covering up for a fellow coworker.
I believe the older man have ja problem with...
Read moreFreaking ridiculous, and the more I think of it, honestly the more ridiculous it gets. I normally stay away due to pricing but I recently found out that they price match, so that's a plus. This week in particular they had a deal on a rifle I have been eyeballing for quite some time. Swinging by on my way home (approx an hour ish away) I decided to drop in and snag it up. I was not prepared for the wait. I entered a que that was 8 folks deep thinking not too bad, I can meander a bit. After 30 min and noticing my position hadn't changed I wandered back over to see the progress. Same two folks at the counter, same two customers. This is noon, on a Tuesday. Black firday deals definitely had something to do with it, but this is one of the largest outdoor retailers in the US, in their flagship store, at the height of the retail season, in a department that every sale processed is on average above and beyond what else gets normally sold. Communication with others around the country, they experienced 6 hour wait times. I was told I had an hour at least, in reality it would have been more like 2 maybe 3. This tells me a couple things, their employees are way over stressed for what they are paid, and they care little about their customers. If they are ok with these wait times then they don't value your time, and frankly the older I get the more valuable it becomes. Not to mention the general lack of quality in any of their name brand stuff, it's a very beautifully decorated wal mart with much longer wait times. I will be resuming my business with smaller shops and online and will be canceling my club credit card after 10 plus years. Done with this uncaring, unproductive...
Read moreI have always used Bass Pro for overnight parking while traveling. I am 66 years old and disabled. I drove 2400 miles to come here for medical treatment. I stay at Bass Pro about two times a month. I love it because I can use the park to cook and relax either before or after treatments.
Due to the expense of threatnent, I have limited resources. I don't make a mess, I don't play loud music, I don't set up camp on the parking lot.
I have scrubbed the park's sink area, the floors, and the walls in the women's bathroom on several occasions. I pick up trash that is lying around and put it into bins. Every time I stay here, I buy something I need for camping. I buy as much of what I need even with my income restrictions.
The last two tines I stayed, in June and July, someone pulled up and shined a spot light in my vehicle. The manager said that people are trying to live on the lot. I understand that, but I am tired of having to pay for others' indiscresions. Instead of punishing people who just need an overnight stay, why don't you have a website link and post, where we can register our vehicle, and then stay all night. The police then have a record of who is staying as a traveler. If someone is staying here unregistered and/or too long, then the police can ask them to leave. The passive, aggressive move of pulling up and shining the light in our vehicle is unnerving.
If there is such a fear of homeless people, then the city needs to pay for more services and try and help. It is only going to get worse since the Adminstrarion cut the funding for the disabled basic needs. Do something positive to resolve this issue and stop punishing people who are traveling and doing the...
