So we lost Dollar General here but gained Dollar Tree. That's cool, cross 291 Hwy. for Family Dollar. This Dollar Tree has been pretty busy every time I've been there. They are still very new. But I have to say that every person I've talked with who works there is very friendly, helpful and kind.
Next, DMV this one is steadily BUSY. However, if you have a while, you're fine. They are very efficient and if people were half as much so, they would be much faster. Plus, there is another DMV down the road at 24 Hwy. and Sterling. The staff here are really nice. (When people aren't taking their frustrations out on them.)
Price Chopper I LOVE this Price Chopper!! I've never had any problems here. They've always got what I'm looking for. They've got great prices... Now I'm going to add a note here. I know in advance what I'm going in for so I know what the price will be (approximately). But also, I know they ALWAYS have certain things on sale (just depends on variety and/or brand) so I ALWAYS have money set aside just to blow in each of those sale departments. In particular, the lunchable type area (various varieties or brands/grown up brands ... Crab meats, etc), the lunch meats/hot dogs/sausages etc. Then there's the cheese department, I can bypass this one but I still have to check to see if there's a sale. My favorite department here is the Soft Drinks. They in my opinion, are the cheapest in town. In all honesty I don't think I've ever gone here and not bought something in this department. Now I will say this includes the entire aisle, so this includes the teas and Snapple as well. Dr. Pepper, Coca-cola with Coffee, Coke are my go to drinks and more times than not they have some or all been on sale. Key note here, Dr Pepper is about ALWAYS on sale (now this has been my personal luck so I'm just saying). Oh and they sometimes have the 24oz bottles on sale for the same low price. Next department, PIZZA!! Now here, it depends on your top price limit. I can go nuts SO, I've decided to give myself a max price limit that I'll pay per pizza. Not a problem, there's usually numerous brands on sale much lower than my limit. WOOHOO this allows me to go nuts and buy a TON of them.. many kinds of many brands. They even have a rather large area located just above the frozen section and beside the checkouts for their Dollar section. No time to wait in a long line? No problem check out with their added self check area.
UPS STORE I've only been in here once or twice so long ago I barely remember. I do however remember that my items made their destinations safely and in a timely manner.
Advance Auto Parts I honestly don't recall ever utilizing this locale.
COSMO PROF Another one I've never been to. Now this one not only have I never been to, I've never noticed or even heard of. I did however go home and look it up online. It seems interesting if you are in need of anything hair, nail, skin or body. Supplies, and/or equipment. They offer delivery as well as in store pick up. That about the all I know. I did go through their inventory and skim through their pages on their website. They even have a last chance section.
Burger King I've been in this one. It has been a while. I do know the last time I was there everyone was very nice, helpful and friendly. The parking lot was clean. The store was kept nice, clean, and swept. The Restrooms we're clean, stocked, and wiped...
Read moreUPS STORE!!!!!!! Unbelievable! The worst service I have ever experienced in my 60 year life! I never do reviews but I had to have someone show me how to do this one⌠There was a young boy in there helping people and unfortunately I was next in line for him (I say âboyâ because he doesnât act like a man. He was so rude and hateful) Yes-I made it in there 20 minutes before they closed. Iâm sure that this time of year they were probably busy all day. No excuse for this personâs hateful rudeness. I had two large boxes and spent $130 to mail them ! ( the day before I went in and got copies for $79⌠Iâm a customer) I usually would be complimenting this UPS location, but I believe it has changed ownership or something . This young kid (who wouldnât give me his name⌠) He was darker with dark hair and said he was the âowner â was rude and more then horrible to me! One of my boxes I did not tape before I brought it because I didnât know if we were gonna have to change to a larger one - so it was taped on the sides and everywhere but the top. I had my families stockings and gifts in the box. After paying him, I asked him if I could use his tape gun to tape it. He said no ! (no explanation just no )? he then threw my box next to him and started to help someone next to me. I asked if he was gonna take my box for me and he said he would , later. Concerned about my box sitting there open with the gifts and stockings available to anyoneâŚ? âŚ.. I asked him if he could please tape it before he helped the next person âŚhe said âno â he would tape it later.??? I stood off to the side and waited because I didnât wanna leave and be concerned that something fell out or someoneâs hands got in my box? ( I was quiet and patient and not upset. I just wanted to see it get taped.) He stopped what he was doing and said âwhat?!â I said âI know that youâre busy and youâve probably had a bad day, but I will tape it myself if you want me to, but Iâm donât wanna leave without it being sealedâ. He threw the tape gun around and put one piece of tape on it and said â there, thatâs it now Iâm done with you. Youâve been trouble since you walked in!? ( what? ) Itâs time for you to leave -weâre closing.â I asked if I could get a managerâs name or number ? (because I was so shocked ) and he said âIâm the ownerâŚâ I told him I knew that wasnât true because Owners donât behave like this to customers -and donât treat people like this.â As it turns out, he handed me a card with his name and it said âmanager.â I knew he wasnât the owner.. I just left it on the counter and didnât even take it. Iâm done stressing over this, but I wanted to post at least. He said all of this in front of a bunch of customers, and I just left⌠and sat in my car and cried. What a rude, horrible young man. I hope they see that you cannot treat people so horribly and expect to do a good business. I hope this does just that. I will be worried if my boxes even make it there -after spending $135 on two...
Read moreI went in to pick something I had ordered online around 9:30 and the store didn't close until 10:00. As I was shopping within a couple of minutes of being in the store, most of the lights went off to my surprise, and I looked around, saw one of the workers standing by the register and I said loudly so she could hear me, Could you please turn the lights on, I can't see over here, she ignored me so I continued to try & hurry to pick out my last minute items, went to another couple of isles which were even more dark than the last one I was in. I then at that point was more than irritated (after working 14 hrs) so I went to the front of the store found, asked her, could you please turn on the lights, I can't see back there to finish my shopping, I came to pick up something that I'd ordered online but I need to do some last minute quick shopping and she looked at me very disinterested and said, "I can't turn them on" and I said "who can" she said " only a manager" and didn't offer to get the manager, I said "well can you get the manager to turn the lights on I can't see to do my shopping and it's dark in here" and she said "well I can try" I then asked her if they shut off the lights on customers before they close and asked if they closed at 10:00 she said "well we normally close at 9:00 but we're closing at 10:00 due to the holidays" but keep in mind they've been closing at 10:00 for quite some time she then yelled for the manager and said "I have a customer who wants to turn the lights back on" the manager appeared from the back somewhere looked at me very irritated that she had to turn the lights on and the worker said "they're on a timer" at that point I wasn't interested in anything they had to say, nobody apologized or anything or was seemed interested in helping me or the fact that I had already prepaid for my shipment at their store or that I was in the store to purchase more items or seemed appreciative of me being a customer at all. Which by the way I am in there at least twice a week and I spend literally thousands of dollars in there a year ( I am an avid crafter & event planner so I buy from Dollar Tree constantly) and they are very familiar with who I am yet did not get one apology for anything so I finished my shopping went to the front and again they were very disinterested and less than enthusiastic about checking me out. I'm usually very conversational but I did not say one word during my transaction and I left needless to say I will be contacting corporate with this very disappointing and angering experience with Dollar tree. If this is how I get treated when I am a good pain customer and spend thousands of dollars a year and shop there frequently because of my event planning and constant crafting and selling my arrangements etc I don't think I want to go back to...
