Very poor experience. My fiancé and his group of groomsmen came in to the store strictly to look at tuxes, etc. From the time they arrived it was a disaster, it took around 10 minutes for an employee to approach their group. And yes, we are very aware it is prom season, so the volume of customers is higher than normal, but that does not justify how they were treated. They had to find the rental section of the store on their own, because once again no one was around to help them. Once they got to speak with someone, who happened to be the employee in charge of rentals, the first question he asked was “Do you have an appointment,” I was not under the impression that we would need to make an appointment for them to look around at tuxes and ask questions. After discussion about whether or not they had an appointment, my fiancé briefly described to the employee what they were looking for. The answer he got was that the store did not carry colored suspenders, and none of the colors they have would 100% match up with the colors at David’s Bridal.. which is the ONLY reason we chose this store to ordered tuxes from. It became very obvious to my fiancé and his group of groomsmen that the employee was not trying to help them, but was ready to get them out of his store. So my fiancé and his groomsmen did just that. After leaving my fiancé calls me very unhappy and annoyed with the whole situation, so I decided to make a phone call to the store to see what took place and why they were unable to help them. The first person to answer the phone was the same employee that first helped the boys, and I very quickly noticed from the tone of the employees voice and the way he was answering all of questions that he did not want to talk with me, so I politely asked to speak with a different employee. I was then transferred to the store manager, who was already very aware of the situation and the way things took place. The store manager was very knowledgeable in answering my questions, and kept repeating to me that it is prom season and I should not have expected them to get full service without an appointment. He did ask me to have the group come back in and deal with him directly, but that will not be happening. Just because it is prom season, does NOT mean it is okay to treat customers without respect. My fiancé and his groomsmen should have been treated with the same respect as every single other customer in that store, and their questions should have been answered, but that was not the situation. Men’s Wearhouse is now missing out on a lot of business from my wedding party, and I will be sure to tell all of my friends and family about this...
Read moreI DO NOT RECOMMEND! My husband was in a wedding this past weekend and rented a suit from Men's Warehouse in Independence. A week and a half before the wedding they called and said his shirt had come in with a stain and he wouldn't be able to pick up his suit until 3 days before the wedding instead of the 5 days they had told us when we ordered it. We were irritated because we thought they should've been able to fix it by the date they originally promised us (there was still 7 days until then.) When we went in to pick it up he tried it on and the pants were WAY too big.. so big that whoever measured him must've done it wrong. The exact words they told us were, "Since it's a rental there's nothing we can do." They treated us like we didn't know what we were talking about, however the parents were so visibly large that the back pockets looked like side/front pockets. After speaking to 3 different employees we finally got them to let him try on a smaller size which fit much better. They ordered in a pair to be picked up the day before the wedding, meaning we would have to go into the store a third time. Before we picked up the suit we called to ask remaining amount due and we're told $12.14. Then while he was trying on the clothes I asked again and they said $12.14. I went up to the register and was given the total of $72.56. The only explanation I was given as to the higher price was someone must've written it down wrong. That isn't my fault but I still took an unexpected $60 hit for it. I also know that the groom and 2 other groomsmen in the same wedding had issues with their suits from this location. One groomsman was missing pieces to his outfit, one's was too large and the groom's suit was so big (and given the same "it's a rental do there's nothing we can do" excuse) that, the day before the wedding, he had to purchase a suit elsewhere. I would definitely not recommend spending your time or money with this location or possibly the company as a whole. There are lots of men's stores around that are eager to please their customers and provide quality attire and they are unfortunately not...
Read moreLeonard was very professional. Took care of us quickly, gave my fiancee and I time to discuss, and while he was helping us, we had his undivided attention! He wasn't pushy, in fact, I let him know my budget right off the bat hoping to streamline the process. From that point on, he suggested things that I would NEED only, and didn't make me feel unworthy because I couldn't afford much. I had ordered a suit online for my wedding trying to save money, and you can probably guess how that turned out... 5 days late, and totally wrong. Barely fit my 13 year old, much less me. So here I was... 3 days before my wedding with Thanksgiving in the way, and no suit! Leonard got me in a Ralph Lauren that was out of my budget, saying " Don't worry... I'll make it work for you!" And he did in fact, make it work! With emergency tailoring, I'll have my suit in less than 24 hours... 20 hours before my wedding! I'm VERY impressed with the service I was given, and my suit is fantastic! Leonard and co. saved the day for sure, and for this I will be forever grateful. They have earned my business in the future, as well as my 5 sons" for years to come. I will recommend them to my many friends as well! Thanks again!

Update: I picked up my suit after 6:00 pm as promised! It fit me better than any suit I have ever owned and I looked fantastic on my wedding day! That's all I heard all day long... Not that I'm complaining!
