I was disappointed with the business practice here of "no returns." This was not brought up--I guess I could have asked--at any rate, the gear I bought was unusable, something I determined after bringing it home, and when I returned to the store with it less than 24 hours later and explained the problem, the owner ( I assume) told me then, "We don't do returns." We discussed it, in a reasonable manner, and finally he reluctantly agreed to let me return it provided I paid a $25 fee to cover his Visa processing charge, when the actual charges to him would have been possibly a tenth of that amount. The problem with the gear was not his fault, nor was the fact that it slipped through his pre-sale inspection and/or prep of it, but his method of dealing with a legitimate complaint was totally unprofessional. I like to think that my personal cost of $25 to help determine where I might or might not take future business was well worth it--I just write this review to possibly save you the time and money. Bottom line, this is an example of why companies like Guitar Center (much as we like to refer to them as the "evil empire") find it so easy to cultivate profitable customer relationships with their generous and fair return policy. Small business owners of brick-and-mortar stores: we don't ask for ridiculous blind universal return policies that places such as Best Buy and Guitar Center use to compete, but hey at least a reasonable approach to the legitimate situations that crop up now and then...
Read moreAs a guitar player, I love this store! Everyone there has been very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. As a customer, I have both bought and sold a guitar there and I am more than satisfied with the business we have conducted. They have an excellent selection of guitars, at virtually every price point you could want, from beginner to pro to serious collector. Plenty of amps to choose from as well, although I'm not as familiar with them. As an alternative to the more generic, big box stores, this place can't be beat, imo.
If you're looking for a more personal touch, along with with an outstanding selection of guitars and amps that are not your standard fare, this is the store for you. Not to even mention the style and ambiance of the place! It has a very distinct resonance that any musician will instantly love. I highly recommend checking this place out, I seriously doubt you will be...
