If you are a whiskey lover, this is the place to be! They've been open for a few months now (opened in April 2024, I think?), and my husband and I have been here countless times. The atmosphere is very cozy with dark leather couches and chairs, lighting is dim, with dark paint on the wall. It really does have that "cigar room" masculine type feel, without the cigars and smoke. Super super cozy and has a great conversational set up too! We've lived near the Square for 15 years, and we've easily been to the Sentinel Room the most frequent; probably a dozen times already. You will not be disappointed! The drinks are great (I am not a huge whiskey fan, but their whiskey Old Fashioneds are amazing, as well as their other cocktails)! I signed the hubby up for the Club 33, so he can try samples of whiskey/bourbon/scotch; it's cheaper than him buying a full bottle of something new and deciding he doesn't like it. This way he can find the ones he likes and buy those instead. Always had great service, and they even have some food (charcuterie boards filled with options). We will absolutely be coming back time and time again!

**Edit to add: the drinks are very reasonably prices, but you can't have just 1 😉. The cocktails are around $12-$15 each; we usually have 2 drinks and conversation, and call it a night. Great quality of...

On a balmy May evening, we were exploring the streets of the Independence Square. We came upon an oasis of light in the dark (The Marinello), and next to it was destiny. Stepping into The Sentinel Room, we were greeted by a bar full of friendly faces and a welcoming atmosphere. Completely at awe of the gorgeous wall of spirits, we perused the menu and found more variations on the classic old fashioned than you could shake a stick at! I ended up discovering my new favorite drink, The Exchange, while my beautiful bride ordered the Smokey Jazz. Let me tell you good reader, these drinks were divine!

I cannot recommend this establishment enough. If you are in the area and seek a sanctuary from the tumultuous waters of daily life, you cannot do better than The...

Went here for the first time last night and everything from start to finish was excellent. The service was wonderful and food and drinks exceeded expectations. Definitely try B’s cabin and The Don and thecharcuterie board! The owners happened to be in while we were there and they are very nice and down to earth folks we enjoyed chatting with them. We joined their 33 club while we were there (which came with a bunch of fun things and comes out to be just 12.50 a month which honestly is a steal for what you get) and look forward to coming back for years to come. Don’t miss this place if you’re in...
