No customer service at all. I guess because I was in there to purchase something not pawn something. I went there with my son to look for an acoustic guitar. They are way over charging people for guitars. I found a Yamaha FG700S acoustic and they wanted $199.99 for it. It was old, beat up and had several dents and scratches in it. For a brand new guitar, same model at Guitar Center, they want $199.99. And with the way the sales people are at GC, I could have probably talked them down $10 or $15 on the price.

When I asked the girl behind the counter why they were charging so much for the guitars she said that she didnt think they were. That was until I held up my phone with the same guitar on Guitar Centers web site showing the price for a brand new one was $199.99. She didn't really have a reply for that. I asked her who it was that did the priceing and she said that Kevin was the person who did it and that he was not at work today. After stumbling around she came back with "We can probably take $40 off the price for ya!" I told her that she would need to price the used guitar at about $60 for me to be interested. I priced several others and they were all the same. They are charging the same price as if they were new.

Bottom line, these people are over charging for the items that they have in store. To the point of charging almost as if the item was brand new. If you have a smart phone, bring it and price check everything. That guitar should have only been about $60. Simply because it was used, its condition, and it is at a PAWN SHOP. I will never reccomend this place to anyone. Nor will I ever come...

I have done a gun application for them and before I was even told about the application fee or anything like that they told me to fill out the application and then I paid for the gun not knowing anything about a fee until it was too late to decide not to apply. After my application was denied; shop 'n pawn called to inform me of the denial to to come down anytime to get my refund. After going there a couple of times without getting my refund because they were on some funny business; I finally got my "check" instead of cash: which is how I paid. I lost my check for a week then found it & went to go cash it, however the bank would not & instructed I go back to the shop to get a new check written out to me. I did so & surprise not so surprise, they refused to write me another check (basically stealing my money that I desperately need to take my little brother to my mom out of town). One of the most unhelpful and apparently desperate places I have ever been to & will never do business with them again for as long as I live. I strongly urge any and everyone else to steer clear of this shady place if you enjoy not getting ripped off. I mean if they would have gave me my refund in cash like I paid them in cash, there wouldn't be any issues, or perhaps if they would have informed me in the very beginning about the gun fee, I wouldn't have even applied, but that's how they get you I guess and make their money. This is just a truely unpleasant and shady place to do business with. Heed my warning guys and stay safe...

I went in recently with my gas weed trimmer to pawn it for at least $50 to $100. There was a guy behind me in line with his gas weed trimmer too. A woman (overweight with long black/gray hair) took one look at me and asked a male employee what he thought of my gas weed trimmer. He told her it wasn't worth much. Really? They offered $15. They never checked to see if it runs and is filled with a mixture of gas/oil. I told them I'm not pawning it for less than $50 to $100. The woman won't do a deal with me to pawn it for $50 because I'm a woman who probably didn't know one thing about power tools. I own power tools and use them all my life.

When I left, the guy behind me walked outside with the woman to test the trimmer. Seriously? He's a guy, and he gets to pawn it for more than $15? I'm a woman? I get $15? And my trimmer's not even checked?

This place gave me a negative experience. Rude and unfriendly staff. Not helpful and cooperative. They had a lot of junk that seemed overpriced for what they're worth.

I could get a lot more somewhere else. I suggest going to Cash America where they have better items to sell and are willing to work something...
