What a great place!!!
The first time we stopped in here was on our way back home from a trip to my parents. The pugs were out of food and I needed to find a place that carried their brand that would still be open. We made it to Pet People with 10 minutes to spare before they closed up shop for the night. When I walked in I asked if they carried "Fromm" and was told yes by the manager, Seth.
Seth then walked me back to where it was kept. I had no idea that they had a no grain and limited grain option. I thought they were all the same. I grabbed the bag that we normally get and proceeded to check out. I told him that I was sorry for being such in a rush but I hate going into places just as they're about to close. He told me not to worry about it. We talked for a little bit and I eventually brought the pugs in so they could meet.
Since then I have visited this store 3 times. Not for food, but for treats and toys. You may think this is just another pet store...but it's not. Sure, they have food, toys, treats, crates, and pretty much everything you need for your fur baby. BUT what sets them a part is not only the service but the selection. They do not carry anything that is harmful for your pet. For example, they only carry holistic foods and natural treats. No bi-product meal or crap like that. They also do not carry edible items that contain harmful grains like corn.
When it comes to the service you get honest answers about what you are giving your dog or cat. They tell you what the differences are between brands and options...as well as what they recommend. The recommendation is based on their experience and what they give their own pets. Sometimes the recommendation is the higher priced, but then other times it is not. They want you to be happy with the selections you made.
They have a dog washing station in the back of the store but I haven't actually used it to be able to comment on it. The store overall looks very clean. You would think that the store just opened with how nice and clean everything is. But surprise they're a little over 2 years old.

I have shopped at this store for over and year and my service has been fantastic, except for today. I hate giving bad reviews but I am very upset about my service, more lack there of today. I purchased a large beef bone from the freezer late last week. I directly put them in my fridge to thaw (per instructions). Once thawed there was blood and fluid from the bone all over my fridge. There was a hole at the bottom of the bag apparently, which was unnoticeable when bones were frozen. I promptly threw the bones away, as this could be a health hazard to my dogs and family. I went in this morning to see about an exchange/refund. I approached Tom at the register with my request. He stated I would need to bring the bone in to provided proof and his demeanor could not have been more distrustful and borderline rude. I have NEVER asked for a refund from this store and have spent thousands of dollars with them, first off. Second, to ask a customer to bring in a RAW bone in as proof is absolutely asinine and outright a health violation for anyone who shops at the store. Iām a black woman and I hate to say it, but the feeling I got from him was extremely uncomfortable and judgmental. Everyone else there has been so wonderful and helpful, and this was so opposite of how I have been treated every time I shop there (about once per week!) Iām extremely disappointed and not sure I will continue to shop here. I completely understand the need to āseeā a product for return is standard in most cases, but this was a raw, bloody beef bone.
