Edit: and again. Opened some ground chicken that I bought 2 days ago that claims it's good until March 3rd. It's bad. It stinks with a strong sour smell. More money wasted because this store doesn't know how to handle raw meat.
Aldi is really starting to go downhill and stoop to some lows. I used to be an avid Aldi shopper but these days most of the time I either go to Meijer or (ugh)Walmart.
I have thrown out so much "fresh" meat in the last 6 months that was spoiled when I opened it before the sell by date. Aldi intentionally staffs very few people and the 2-4 people working at a given time are tasked with multiple responsibilities simultaneously. This has nothing to do with a fake "worker shortage" it's ALWAYS been that way. Employees will pull out multiple pallets at a time and leave perishable good sit out at room temperature. If they get busy, it sits there unrefrigerated.
Price tags on items aren't always accurate. Sometimes you look at your receipt and see that something was 50-75 cents more than advertised. Over time, this adds up.
To add insult to injury, they're now getting in on the scam where they artificially inflate prices, stick a big "Sale!" sticker on it that discounts it back to the normal price. Peel that tag off and underneath you see that the normal price is the same as the sale price, the sale sticker just claims they raised the price $1 to make it look like a sale. In many states, this practice is against the law. But probably not Indiana, state government here could care less about...

Second time there was NO one at the check out so I left. Third time I bought vegetables that ended up smelly or a bit rotten (couldn't verify or smell in store-sealed bags), organic milk that tasted like sugar water, and organic eggs that almost ALL had two yokes in each egg (hormones, anyone?) Again, there was no one at the check out but I waited. Attendant said: "I didn't see you"...well, I thought it's kinda hard to see clients from the windowless break room, but oh well. I thought prices were very fair but when I ended up throwing half away it ended up a very bad deal. See ya...
Read moreI wanted to personally thank Jacquetta for my shopping experience today. As if your job isn’t easy enough sitting & scanning groceries, without the task of bagging. You rudely demanded I dump my few groceries out of my box onto the conveyor belt to further your convenience then deliberately threw my groceries in the cart. I haven’t shopped at an ALDIs in six months or more but decided to stop by for the coveted holiday calendars. I don’t ask to be put on a GD pedestal but that kind of service is enough to say I won’t be going back. Treat someone else...
