Updated Review You can read below to see my original post from yesterday & the owner’s reply. I was invited back to have my nails fixed. So I went today & was more disappointed than I originally was which is why I changed my rating from a 3 to a 1. When I got there they asked what I needed & I asked to speak with the owner. The reply, “He’s not here.” I said ok & I would come back another time. Then I was asked by a technician if she could help me. I explained that I wasn’t happy with my nails & was told by the owner to come back to get them fixed. This first technician said, “These are acrylic nails & your nails are short. What can we do?” I pointed out that there was space between the nail & my cuticle. She asked when I had them done to which I replied,”yesterday.” She said oh, ok we can fix that. I sat & waited for my turn & after about 10 minutes two other technicians came to look at my nails. The first one took my hand & looked at my nails & asked what I wanted. I again pointed out the space which looked as if my nails had grown out over several days. I asked her if she thought my nails looked good & she said she’d give it 8/10. I said , “Wow.” Then I said I’d come back when the owner was there. Her reply was, “I’m the owner,” after already being told the owner wasn’t there. I was fed up at this point & told her I’d go somewhere else to get my nails done. I will not be returning to this business. The owner condones lying, rudeness, & unprofessionalism. Don’t waste your time and money. I added pictures this time. Zoom in! **Original post: I have been here 3 times. The first time I was very pleased with my manicure and thought the outcome was fantastic. The second time I was pleased, not as much as the first time, but still overall content. Today was my third time to patron this salon. They were not busy so I was seated right away. The nail tech greeted me friendly and then I proceeded to explain what I wanted. I showed a picture on my phone of what I wanted. She stared for some time like she was confused. I confirmed what I wanted and she said, Ok, if you don’t like, I do color. I said ok. I was slightly nervous but figured she was a professional who could complete my request. I quickly got the feeling she was agitated. When I asked her to round the corners of my nails a bit more, she told me that was not like the picture I showed her. I said , ok, but I still want them more rounded. Again, I felt as though she was agitated. At the end of the process, I noticed that the shape was a bit off but I couldn’t get a good look at them because of the lighting in the corner we were in. I checked out and tipped and left. When I got to the car, I stared at them in the bright light and started to see many imperfections. I considered going back in to say something but ultimately didn’t because of the technicians there I really like. I was torn about what to do. Once I was home, I studied them more and did not like them any better. I think I was unlucky today getting a tech who was in a bad mood and didn’t care if she did a good job or not. I haven’t decided if I’ll go back, but if I do, I will request a specific technician who cares...
Read moreUPDATE: The first response was...."I'm sorry and I want to make you happy again". Now..(after deleting the first response)your second response is a long paragraph that includes lies. I CONSISTENTLY made my next appointment before I left the shop. Hence...I was going every two weeks. It definitely was scheduled out. In a 2 year span, I did have to wait MULTIPLE times before being serviced. I get that you're trying to not make your shop look unprofessional, but the truth is....your husband was rude and has been to others as well. Its in the reviews.....if you haven't deleted them yet. My initial stance is the same. I felt disrespected. I was deciding to not continue any business with this shop and I gave my reasons why. Your making excuses, but there is no excuse to talk to a loyal paying customer in that manner. After reading your "second" response(because you deleted the first one), I made the right choice. Best wishes to Rose!
INITIAL REVIEW: I had to leave a review because of how disrespected I was this morning. I have been faithfully coming to this salon for over 2 years.*Oct.2020 My routine is twice a month to Vicky for powder dipped nails and to Rose for a pedicure(white gel polish only). The salon members converse with me in public and know me by face and name. I have had to wait multiple times due to them overbooking or other clients showing up late to their appointments. (I have waited almost 30 minutes after my appointment time). Fast forward to today. I missed my appointment and called to reschedule. I apologized over and over and over because I felt horrible and understand its the holiday season. I was even looking to be scheduled next week. The shop owner, Jimmy, was SOOOO rude. As I was apologizing and explaining myself, he kept cutting me off saying. "It doesn't matter" and how I made them lose money by them not booking anyone else. Overall his customer service was brash, short, and borderline demeaning. Well,sir....I pay good money everytime I come... on top of tipping both your wife and mom $10-$15 each EVERYTIME! Jimmy eventually said Rose can do my feet. I felt so disrespected by the whole encounter, I said no thanks. This was a convenient location for me. Vicky and Rose are the best, but I WILL BE SPENDING MY MONEY...
Read moreI won't even say bad customer service, but lack of comprehension was performed today by Boss Lady Vicki herself!
The process was fine, she informed me of the issue with my nails turning yellow which occurred from my last encounter at Nifty because the technician missed applying gel on my nails and I didn't notice it until I was gone...but I didn't come back and cause rage but moving along.
Issue #1 - As Vicki is using the nail drill, she starts twisting my thumb. I was trying to correct my thumb but she wants to inform me that it has to be painful for her to get it done; so it doesn't get completed because it HURTS! She then goes forward with her defense that she is not saying anything to me when ALL I SAID WAS YOU ARE HURTING MY THUMB! Didn't know if that would involve words but...yea
Issue #2 - As Vicki is applying my polish she has to use a UV lamp which she is throwing it from side to side as she finishes each hand, which results in a messed up nail because if you can imagine a person throwing something it tilts on my nail. I have her to correct it and she smacks her lips. I then go on to ask if there is animosity from (Issue #1) have one of your peers to finish. Her response is...no one is available (as I am looking at several workers talking and sitting at their stations). So like most customers I reference the boss can sure help me if you're being rude and Vicki says the following, "Do you know who the boss is? I say no who is the boss and she says, "Me". I ask for her name and she then declines. So at this point I just stood up to ask for another worker, because I couldn't sit there and be taunted by The Boss herself any longer. So she then gets up and storms to the back of the building.
Thank you to the technician that came in to complete my nails and advise me her name. Meanwhile as the tech is helping me she is talking to another customer about me. (Really professional) Repeating she didn't say anything to me. Vicki, you are absolutely right, however, there is this word called ACTIONS that you loudly expressed from hurting my thumb and throwing your UV lamp in frustration. She really wanted to express her innocent role with the African American bully...
