The furniture is worse than that in the showroom. Be prepared to assemble things yourself. It was surprising to see the so-called “premium grade” furniture was all made in Vietnam. They certainly all have a premium price, but I didn’t see any “Made in Vietnam” tags in their showroom. The furniture feels okay, with no major damage during shipping and delivery, but is at a different level from what I saw in the showroom. This place charges you more than $300 (including tax) for delivery, but the delivery service is not even as good as the average free delivery service. The delivery people touch your furniture with dirty hands, throw (not just leave) trash on your property, never pay attention to what’s underneath their shoes when they go in and out. When I talked to the store, the guy (Mark Ableman) was even arguing for them. He told me those people have been fired, but there is no reason to trust him, and you will see why later. My dining table set was missing the 6 screws when it was first delivered. The first delivery team simply refused to grab 6 screws and mount them; thus, they took the dining table back to the warehouse. Communication with people working at La Z Boy was a disaster. It seems they were either unwilling to deal with the problem or uncapable of doing so. Just for 6 screws, they had to contact multiple people in multiple locations. Mark Ableman told me they could not set up an appointment for someone to assemble the table before I received the screws. Luckily, the second delivery had screws with the table. I was mentally prepared to find the right screws based on the holes and assemble the table myself. Be prepared to assemble things yourself if you buy from La Z Boy. There are some comments about Mark Ableman, who is the sales manager assistant, or the boss who stays in the store. He did his best to sell things, such as spending hours with me patiently and telling me a certain "discount" was just for a single day to sort of pressure me into buying things. I knew on the same day that I was ripped off lightly, but not super bad, despite the “discount”. However, this guy intentionally damages the zipper of a couch (be careful when you buy things in the showroom), kicks hard on a piece of furniture, and he has been doing these for multiple customers. When I mentioned a refund on the dining table after they took the table back, he told me a refund can only be issued within 3 days of purchase. That is on the backside of the invoice, which I never knew and never signed (see picture). Throughout the whole process, he has not at all mentioned a refund or a partial refund on anything, despite his product missing essential parts and his people behaving very badly. It is true that he remembers the details of me and follows up diligently, but that would not be enough without a refund for most people, if everything was the store’s fault. This tells me that there are probably not so many people buying at La Z Boy and even fewer people buy more than one piece of furniture, so he can remember the details of the customers. I am so glad that I didn’t buy more stuff, and this is certainly my first and last time shopping...
Read moreThe quality of lazy boy tops all as far as I am concerned but we had a very frustrating experience last Saturday and we ended up walking out without purchasing what we went in to get. Up front I was told my sectional wouldn't be in until March. Wow, not their fault I guess. Have heard this from others still waiting since November through February from other furniture stores. So went in with my sister both of us looking to purchase, what I found was around $9000.00 for just the furniture and my sister around $4,000.00 easily. We probably would have bought the protection plan and all was good until we were told we would have to pay $90.00 for a chair to be delivered and if both of my recliners were ready at the same time (with no quarantee they would be) it might be $130.00 otherwise I would be paying $180.00 for 2 chairs. Just the delivery. When I ask about the sectional his words were they might deliever 5 pieces of it for $240.00 but it could be more. The one I wanted would have been 7 pieces at $90.00 more for each additional piece. So your talking $600.00 just for delivery for my sectional and 2 recliners. I told the salesman we had trucks and trailers would pick up all furniture ourselves. He said that would be a problem and they couldn't have us do that because they are on l y a showroom, Do what! They actually think I am going to pay that kind of money to have my furniture delivered. If I didn't have trucks and trailer I could rent a uhaul drive to Ohio where he said their warehouse is and still save money. All of this just for my furniture and then my sister would have to pay for her delivery also when we would pick hers up also. I want lazy boy furniture but I refuse to pay delivery prices after paying the cost of the furniture to begin with. Don't get me wrong most places have a flat charge if you need it delivered and I don't mind so much paying for good furniture but I refuse to have to pay that kind of money for delivery when we don't need it delivered. Sad for me but I will not pay that kind of money for delivery after spending that kind of money for the...

We ordered a power recliner thinking we paid more for a quality product. But, the power went out within 6 DAYS! The chair was stuck with the legs half way out for 2 months. I immediately asked for a return or exchange and was denied.
The sales associates claim complete shock when a piece of furniture breaks because all they do is SELL furniture and another company (from out of state with horrible customer service) deals with repairs.
"We'll fix it if it breaks," really means... On their schedule, if they have time, perhaps within 3 months, if you're lucky. If your furniture breaks, they expect you to have nothing to do but wait around all day to make a zillion phone calls until something magically lines up so that when they show up they might be able to fix your furniture. It took 3 visits scheduled a month apart each before our recliner was fixed. One appointment they even cancelled on us.
WORKING CHAIR: 6 days BROKEN CHAIR: 2.5 months and counting
Ultimately, the store blames the repair company. The repair company blames you for signing a worthless warranty. Usually spending more for a quality brand is a good choice. That's not the case with lazyboy. You could buy 10 recliners elsewhere (seriously, we looked into it) for the price of what we spent on this one. Spend your time and money elsewhere.
PS: service technician was nice and knowledgeable, but he could only do so much without being stocked with enough parts to fix the chair.
What could they do better? The store could have offered us another manual chair in the meantime... Or a highly discounted one. Or they could have given us something for our trouble. But the store kept telling us it wasn't their problem and to call the repair company.
Private message? We called and talked to the gm many times and even went in person to speak with him about this issue before letting him know we'd be publicly...
