Huge Impact Restaurant — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I've seen mixed reviews of this place, and that people have said it was hit or miss. I decided to give them a try, and I was not disappointed. Let me start by saying that is place is the very definition of hole in the wall. It's not even on the main street, but back behind a few other buildings. It's small, and imperfect, which I love. Having grown up in the rural North Georgia mountains, this place reminded me of so many of those good old mom and pop joints that the mainstream often overlooks. I got their half pound huge burger, with a side of mixed greens, and My wife got their stuffed potato, deep fried corn on the cob and fried green tomatoes. The burger surprised me. In my pic below, it looks a little dry, it had spicy mayo on the bottom, and I declined the offer of ketchup and mustard. But it didn't need any of that. That was easily the best burger that I've had at a restaurant. The meat was juicy and very well seasoned, and the flavor was amazing. The bun was toasted nicely and the bacon was crispy and cooked perfectly. I got a side of mixed greens with it, and I was skeptical because the protein they cook in their greens is turkey. I'm used to turnip and collard greens being cooked with fat back, but it worked and it was really good. The deep fried corn was interesting, and this was something I'd never even heard of before, but it was really good and seasoned with enough spice to give it just a little kick. I can't speak to much on the stuffed potato my wife got, because All I got from it was a piece of shrimp, but I know she liked it. Visited this restaurant today after seeing photos on social media for awhile. I have no complaints about the food. The food was good decent portions, decent pricing. I dined in, and would never dine in there again. The restaurant was dirty and needs new decor. The floors were dirty, there were giant cobwebs under the tables. The kitchen where they cooked and the appliances looked dirty, there was an odor when I walked inside. They have little to no lighting so it’s dark as hell in there! We ordered canned sodas, but they were brought to us In glasses. The server took it upon herself to pour our drinks in their dirty glasses! The drinking glasses I was given were dirty and the ice had some sort of white film on it floating around in my drinks. The owner also walked past several times and didn’t acknowledge me or speak, at this time I was the only customer in the restaurant. Also the seating isn’t comfortable the way it’s set up. I've eating here before when they first opened and I was not impressed my food was burnt and the grease was burnt and smelled horrible. I decided after a few years let me try them again. So I called my order in and I wanted a salmon salad I specifically asked the young lady do they have spinach lettuces are roemane, are Leafy lettuces because I don't eat iceberg she said yes they had what I was looking for. She was very nice and kind the young lady took time with me. When I arrived looking at the menu it was iceberg lettuces and she asked the cook. This where the problem came in at she was smart mouth with attitude I was explaining to her that I was informed that they had what I ask for and I'm not getting smart with her . She turns around and says she ain't getting smart with me and like I said we only got iceberg!!! Thank God he has tammed my tongue I just walked out and will never be back.
