Update - I recently completed 250 classes at this incredible establishment, seriously think that it would NOT have been possible without the constant encouragement and support from the instructors and everyone who works there. Beyond the classes themselves, the community here is exceptional. It's a place where you always feel welcomed and motivated from day one. If you are on the fence about starting your yoga or fitness journey, or looking for a place in town to try yoga, I wholeheartedly recommend trying this studio. It's genuinely the best place in town to explore yoga and pilates and to grow, and I'm confident you will not regret it. A special shout-out to Kylie, David, Morgan, Rachael, and Patricia – your passion and guidance makes a difference. You all truly rock! //—————————-// I had never done yoga in my life until last year when I tried it in Patagonia and loved it, I decided that I would like to join some kind of class to keep me motivated and going, finally signed up for a trial in April of this year and I am so glad I did that. I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said that this place is slowly changing my life.
This place is extraordinary, and here is why - all the instructors are very welcoming, and they encourage everyone constantly including regulars, this place is so organized that it should be a lesson to other fitness places how to run, there is complete transparency in everything which is going on, and there are no hidden policies.
They have a variety of classes available with different times and locations, from original yoga to pilates, you can always find a class to suit your schedule which is not the case with other fitness places.
I want to mention their excellent mobile app, its smooth, its fast, easy to use, it makes it so convenient to see what classes are available and you can sign up instantly, also cancel super easily and the updates happen in real time, you can also see history of classes you took.
I ended up cancelling my Y membership because I want to focus on Yoga and I am getting everything I need from this place, besides the physical exercise aspect I think the mental part is more fulfilling.
Finally I want to give a shout out to the awesome instructors Kylie, Carly, Laurie, Nancy, Grace and...
Read moreI doubt there is much that I'll write here that isn't reflected in the many other positive reviews. They are legit reviews, that's for sure. I had never done yoga before - but it was recommended by a friend and they gave me a bit of an introduction before I went so at least I had an inkling of what it might be like. I had no idea yoga could work out so many of your muscles. I've wanted an exercise routine that I could enjoy, that would work me out all over, and that was instructor-led. It's expensive going to a gym and paying a personal trainer, and The Hot Room is even better and costs less than a gym/trainer combo. Now to the actual review of The Hot Room - they are awesome. I was so nervous the first time I went. Figured everyone else would be way ahead of me and I'd feel out of place. They were SO welcoming and friendly. And they make sure to welcome new people to the class and give encouragement throughout the first class in a friendly manner. And there are ALL levels of people in the room. Many are experts, but many others need to take a break at points in the class, like I do as I'm learning and getting into shape. You'll feel comfortable even if you've never done one yoga pose in your life. And they follow up with you in a friendly way (yes, it's marketing, but they do it so well!) after your first few classes that you'll feel personally wanted as a customer. Definitely one of the best customer experiences I've had in a long time. Go - try them out! (And read other reviews for...
Read moreI took my daughter to Family Yoga on 4/16/2016. I practice daily at another studio that does not offer family yoga. On the website, it listed $10 cash for the Family Yoga class. Sounds like a reasonable mother daughter date for $20. I was informed however that the walk in price is for the child only and for the adult it is $20. I overheard another staff explain to a mother next to me and then offered her the $49 first month unlimited for new students. I pointed out that the website did not state this and decided to let my daughter do alone. We went into the room and it was HOT. The website also said that it was unheated. I commented to the desk and asked about this but they said it was not heated. Maybe it was still hot from a class before?! I decided to suck it up and pay the additional $10 because I was worried about my daughter and the heat. There were 15-20 kids there and many were very young. The instructor was WONDERFUL BUT....as a regular yoga practitioner, it is not a class that is worthy of $20. I thought it was nice that there was a second instructor helping with adjustments but all in all, the $20 for a parent and heat left a bad taste in my mouth and we are unlikely to return. My deep desire is that ALL Yoga studios find a way to make yoga accessible to children in family classes. $30 x 52 weeks is $1560 a year. Simply cost prohibitive to most families. $1040 isn't more attractive but at least would have been fair based...
