It may be a cliché, but if I could give it zero stars, I would without hesitation. The first time we came in here, the girl started loading lettuce onto my sandwich without me asking. I politely told her I didn’t ask for lettuce, and asked her to remove it. She started barely scraping it off, so I asked her to just remake it. She got upset, and just walked away from the sandwich altogether. Someone else came over and instead of remaking it, started to retoast the sandwich. I explained that’s not what I wanted, and they finally remade it. Today, I gave it another shot. I ordered on the app, showed up just a few minutes early when no one was in line and they had started my order. The girl then put green peppers on my sandwich, to which I simply said, “Oh, no, I don’t want green peppers”. I politely asked her to remove them, to which she looked at me like I was stupid. She barely removed any of them, then the manager told me I needed to “be nice”. I don’t know if “being nice” means not speaking up when the food I paid for is being made incorrectly, but I’m not doing that. The manager (or who I was told was the manager) accused me of breaking a shelf full of chips in one of my previous visits. Which never happened. After he yelled at me in the store so hard that he prompted the cashier to put her fingers in her ears, I asked to provide proof and I told him it is not ok to make false allegations. I asked to speak to a manager and he said he was manager but he refused to give me his name and didn’t have on a name tag . He asked me to contact the store # if I want to speak about the incident and tried to hand me a ripped off receipt. I said no and contacted the subway corporate. The owner should be in touch shortly.
