My husband and I lived at the MK from August 2019 to July 2021 and can both confidently say that we are relieved to no longer live there. In case the MK sees this and wants to reach out â we are the two who are still waiting on an actionable response regarding a $50 reimbursement for returned parking tags. The property management at the MK â and we saw three different teams cycle through during our residence â was inefficient, disorganized, and truly disappointing.
As far as the reimbursement weâre owed, the MK has told us that accounting is âstillâ looking into it. We have followed up with the MK repeatedly since September 1st - Iâve called twice and left voicemails for Katie and havenât received a follow up phone call yet, only correspondence via email with my husband. This is a great example of how the MK works with residents. They contacted us shortly after moving out relaying that we didnât leave the parking tags as requested. Once we arrived in our new state and unpacked, we were able to send both parking tags â we did this as quickly as possible. However, now that we are owed a reimbursement fee for these tags, they are delaying a response and follow-up action.
Another example of this relates to their $500 re-signing bonus. We were offered this incentive in March 2020, re-signed, but didnât receive the bonus for several months due to a âprinting errorâ. We had to constantly follow up with phone calls and in-person visits to get this resolved. You would think that if you are working to incentivize residents to stay, you would deliver on the promise sooner rather than later.
The parking garage door is always suffering from mechanical issues, the internet isnât great for those who work from home, and the units are complete with low-grade appliances (that look nice). That aside, our biggest issue with the MK is/was the property management. When you pay the rates you do to live at the MK, you should rightfully expect a certain level of communication and help from your property management - after all, they are considered an added amenity of living in an apartment complex. Neither one of us recommend the MK to friends, family or coworkers and in fact tell them to avoid it. If you're looking for a place to live in the neighborhood, my recommendation is to visit Ironworks â they have the most welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful property management team â search for a duplex in the Meridian Kessler area, or meet with Park 66 before...
Read moreNot upfront about the details of the apartment.
Donât get me wrong, the apartment units look really nice and are clean. However, given the price point for these âluxuryâ apartments you would think that they would place light fixtures in all areas of the unit. There are light switches and wiring set up for the dining, living room and bedroom sections but no lights.
I thought that that this was just an oversight, so I called the leasing office to report it and I was informed that those lighting areas were âoptionalâ. I would have to buy my own fixtures and pay an additional $75 for the installation of EACH one! Given that Iâm already paying a pretty penny for this apartment, I expected to be able to see in my bedroom. The gall I must have had to expect that lol!
The kicker: this detail was not disclosed to me at move-in or during lease signing. They want to nickel and dime you for everything. Tip for the management: instead of gifting your tenants bottles of Prosecco, how about you include light fixtures in all of the liveable areas of the apartment unit.
No wonder that not even a quarter of your units are occupied. Not re-signing once my...
Read moreDo not rent here. I have absolutely loved this community, the building, and obviously the location. Unfortunately, this apartment building has a roach problem that they fail to address. I have had an exterminator in my unit four time now, and each time, they have stated there is no active activity in my unit and the infestation is obviously not coming from my unit. Unfortunately, the management of this building has failed to react appropriately and treat the whole building and inspect all of the units and roaches continue to appear on my unit. Including IN MY REFRIGERATOR. They also refused to have any conversations about allowing me to terminate my lease due to these unsanitary conditions without paying a fine of $4,000. I'm including only two pictures to represent the two different species of roaches that seem to have invaded this apartment complex. I have not prepared food in my unit for a month now and have thoroughly cleaned my unit over and over again. This has been an ongoing battle for three months and I'm just now posting publicly due to The MK lack of care and consideration for the health of...
