Broad Ripple Tavern — Restaurant in Indianapolis

My husband and I went here yesterday and were there a little over an hour. The place was not busy (only about 3 other people there). We ordered drinks and my husband paid for and chose 5 songs on the jukebox and then we started playing pool. When he went to get a a second drink for us he overheard a customer complain to the bar tender about the music we were PAYING for and playing. After the 5th song no one else paid to play anything, instead the bar tender paused the jukebox and would not allow us to play anything else the rest of the time we were there. This is the WORST bar we have ever been to. If you want to control the music that is played in your establishment then you should not have a jukebox or you should limit the music that is available to PAY for and play. If your customers do not like the music being PAID for by other customers then they need to PAY to play...

Emily invited me to have a beer since I know her from elsewhere. Have only been her a few times prior. Once for Steve Baker celebration of life. So far great place between Emily & the bartender that had banana bread, except for last Friday. Seemed since I sat at a table, I wasn't a regular, was early in the afternoon and the bartender didn't know me, she requested me to pay for each beer or leave a credit card @ the register. This place has an amazing wait staff. You seat yourself and almost immediately someone is there to tell you the specials. Nichole was my waitress last night and was awesome. My boyfriend and I split a drink and a breaded tenderloin. Nichole was on point. She had 2 straws in our glass and brought 2 plates for us as well as the plate the tenderloin was served on.
