In the past, unfortunately, I came up a women that shown unkindness had a negative attitude and was not friendly towards me . But after officers communicated with her, that the VFW was a place for no animosity or unfriendliness toward our guest or members I have found our happy place to go. I put a distance between such bad behavior toward me. I'm fine with that choice. My very disabled husband and I want nothing but positive people surrounding us! I came in for a drink on a Tuesday at 1844. I was sitting with a gentleman and tried to order a drink. I had my DD-214 with me with the intention of joining. The gentleman put the order in for me and it appears that because I didn't walk in with him that was a no go. I've NEVER been treated like this in a VFW in my life! This was on December 5th.
