this was a bad experience customer service, and food from the deli was terrible Picked up a box of chicken. The only thing can figure as I tried to fry it or maybe they set their timers to a normal size chicken and this thing was so small that it basically got burnt up. Not good when you’re 30/40 minutes away and get home to people waiting if it’s old or overcooked, you should just get rid of it. Don’t try marking it down. It really makes people angry, and they will not give you the second chance to do it again.

If you're lucky enough to reside in Inverness, then your go-to grocery store is THIS Winn-Dixie! I must say, there's nothing wrong with the other Winn-Dixie location, but I'm partial to the self-checkout terminals. I wish all grocery stores had them, for busy folks like myself with just a basketful of items! Mom and I enjoy the rewards program too..if you're not a member, then you must not like FREE MONEY! smh/lol Go check 'em out, when you can! (yw) Anne, 🐾BayleeTheBeagle🐾 & SteveMadden

Why is the chicken full of water and shrinking to less than half the size it was when I put it in the pan? The chicken filled the pan when I started cooking it. I'm making it for my dogs so I only put a splash of oil and now the pan is full of water. I thought I was buying chicken, not water.

I worked for Winn Dixie, for 18yrs. Always loved my WD. I worked as cashier, Front office, sometimes Floral department, produce, Deli Asst.Manager, most important Seafood Management, for 8yrs or more. Always #2 in district out of 23 stores. Made number 1 st 2007 at DUNEDIN STORE first 3 days I was transferred to Dunedin store. Dunedin store was smallest store in the district. I made it work. There sales only were only $350 to $425 that was the best wk. When I took over, had to clean house, put stuff on sale. Sample everything. Had only 3 day to push it out. My costumer, for my store they closed, found me. Word of mouth or walk In's or called the wearhouse. Took a couple weeks. They found me. I was there favorite Seafood Manager. When I retired in 2008, my sales were over $9884. Sept, Oct, Nov. Between Football season and Holidays I kick butts and took names. Had to leave my husband was dyeing of cancer. My store manager Dan, help me aot. He didn't want to leave. He finally had a seafood department he was proud of. I even got Big Bonus for Seafood Department. Last 1 was for over $1500, plus. Been 11 yrs. So u ask me how Iike WD, i love it still wonderful customer service. I worked in Holiday Seafood Manger, and Deli Ass.Manger. Seafood Manager, safety Harbor, Seafood and Deli,Holiday again, Seafood Manager. Harbor, then Dunedin Seafood Manager. I decorated for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and partied every wk-end, sampled had tailgate party in seafood department, what a great time. We sample all that we on sale, and fish that was not. Kicked it out sold all. And more.. My name is: Judy Gerwe, I'm proud 74 yrs old. And proud I was a Great WD Employee. Won all customer awards received so many they went around. My neck 3x's...

Service is generally good. Store is clean. Haven't had any issues with outdated items. Wish selection was better but it's a smallish store so to be expected.

However, there is a high school aged, curly haired cashier who I believe is scamming people on items. 2 weeks ago, bought a deodorant, got home and nowhere to be found -- it's on the digital receipt. This week I checked out with the same cashier and caught him trying to sneak some candy item on my order. I stopped him and told him it wasn't mine. I believe it is intentional because I still had half the order on the belt and I don't eat candy, so I don't know where this item came from. Could have fallen off the rack I guess but TBH in the several decades I've been grocery shopping I've never had this happen.

Rest assured, I'll be back next week - same bat time, same bat channel, and if I find any more funny business I'll be getting...

I haven't been in a Winn-Dixie in YEARS, but found myself visiting this one TWICE recently. Nearly everything I was looking for had a brand on sale or at truly reasonable prices. The store was also very clean (unlike the one near my home, which I rarely frequent). Their wine selection was small, but offered enough of a variety for me, with many bottle offered at sale prices &/or with Fuel Perks bonuses. While there, and starving, we picked up a pre-made Italian sub from the deli to split. Maybe I was starving from skipping breakfast, but that was a fine mid-day snack... very fresh, most notably in that the bread was not soggy. Check-out was swift, and on our second visit, our young cashier was exceptionally friendly. As this grocery store is closer to my dad's lake house than Publix, I'm sure we will return to this Winn Dixie the next time we are...
