Universal Comics — Local services in Jackson Township

Hey Kevin. I came in this past evening, checking out comics as I always do. The so-called employee that was working, I had never seen before, and I’m sure he has also never seen me, was playing a game as I walked in, he never identified himself, as Kevin always does, so I was clueless as to who was working. I grabbed a comic and was inspecting it, he then stated, with very harsh contempt, “Are you going to buy that, sir?” I replied, “Yeah, maybe.” It had a slight bend at the right bottom corner, so I did not buy it.

Took a road trip to check out all of the Canton LCS listed on Google. Now I gave it a one star simply because the store does not really sell a lot of comics. The owner "Joe" was super friendly. Really nice guy. I told him I had come up to check out all the LCS in Canton. He directed me to other stores! He's more of a gaming store now. The name of the store deceives you but unintentionally. He told me he used to sell comics but with so many stores in Canton area, he said it was better business to branch off into another niche...gaming. He does not sell new releases but will order new comics only as a pull service. He had about 10-15 short boxes of comics of various back issues. And nothing really organized. Recently began a clinical rotation in N Canton and noticed the shop on my way home. Always enjoy checking out new comic shops, so I stopped in and quickly learned it was more of a hobby/game store than a comic shop. This turned out to be an excellent surprise as I haven't been to an lgs in some time, but I've been playing Magic off/on since original Mirrodin block and it felt like home haha. The owner is a genuine dude and great conversation partner. Long story short, I walked out with a few singles and a stack of booster packs...back down the MTG...
