The first two times I went here were good. My first meal was shorted an enchilada but my waiter quickly apologized and fixed it. Tonight I took my son here for the first time for his 15th birthday. First off, the waiter gave my son water when he ordered a rootbeer. No big deal, I assumed they would make it right. When the waiter came back 5 minutes later to take our orders he fixed that, without an apology. I'm big on apologizing even when it's an honest mistake myself but I thought maybe he was embarrassed so I just thanked him and let it go. The food did come out quickly but my order was wrong, I ordered 3 cheese enchiladas with white queso, and they brought me 3 beef enchiladas. My other son had ordered a chicken quesadilla but he's a bit picky and there was onions, peppers and tomatoes and he wouldn't eat it. Now there's no mention in the menu at all that there's veggies in this dish. We sat there for 14 minutes waiting for someone to come fix our orders when the manager came to see what the problem was. He did apologize and took my meal but then he sent back the waiter. The waiter asked "what's the problem" and I explained to him the problem. I was frustrated at this point but I was not rude. I told him my son wouldn't eat any veggies and he just wanted chicken and cheese on his. He was extremely rude and walked away without an apology again! He brought a new quesadilla for my son and the correct plate for myself. By this time we'd been there for over 30 minutes. Still no apology from the waiter and he was still extremely nasty. At this point I couldn't even eat and was just waiting on the waiter to come back. After another 15 minutes he came back to ask if I wanted more sweet tea I declined and I just asked for to-go boxes and the check. My son then noticed that he was brought the same exact quesadilla again. When he came back with the check, I told him about this and told him again that my son wouldn't eat it. He's extremely picky and it drives me insane but he's almost an adult and can choose what he wants to eat. He again had a nasty attitude so I just asked for a manager, not wanting to deal with him anymore. The manager came over and I told him what had happened and he said that particular shredded chicken will always come out with those veggies in it and he couldn't help that, which I responded with if they knew that the dish would have the veggies every time then why didn't they say something instead of continously brining out the same exact thing? He had no answer for that and he just told us that "next time we should order grilled chicken and cheese". I was so disappointed and done with everything at this point so I just told him that the waiter was extremely rude and I just wanted the quesadilla removed from our bill. The manager sent the rude waiter back over with the new bill and not shocking still no apology! The fact that he sent the waiter over after I told him how rude he was is the exact reason I decided to leave this review and why we will never be returning to this resturant! People make mistakes, I don't get angry over mistakes like this, I may be frustrated with the situation but I'm not rude. When a waiter is rude and they repeatedly make the same mistakes and don't make it right they will lose my business. I'm absolutely disgusted with the "service" we received and I think people should know these things before spending their hard earned money here. I wouldn't suggest that someone really think before going to a resturant over one rude waiter, one bad seed isn't reason enough to avoid a place, but management here won't take care of you. After you've been treated poorly they will just keep sending the rude waiter to make you even more uncomfortable and act as if you're the one that caused the problem. I didn't once raise my voice or treat them poorly even though they didn't have the same respect for me. We didn't ask for a discount or free food we just wanted to be treated with respect and for the mistakes to be fixed but that was just too much to ask for from this...
Read moreAfter flying all day, my copilot and I were looking forward to a nice Cinco de Mayo experience. You would think they would have more than one bartender at the outside bar on the one day they probably should be able to do it right, but sadly no. Should have known better when the 2 other pilots being picked up by the hotel shuttle said "Good luck". We were barely acknowledged being there before having to ask for drink and meal menus. We ordered the big glass house margs but were given the smaller size which were down before the bartender even came around again. Our food took more than an hour and the temperature was luke-warm at best. While this place was recommended by locals and hotel staff I cannot see why. Needless to say we were more than disappointed with our meal and expereince. The music provided by the DJ was fun but loud enough to make it hard to communicate with eachother and staff. Will probably find another place for Mexican food next time we...
Read moreDelicious food with great color and freshness to the veg, portion size makes it a great value, and excellent customer service has me coming back for more. They appreciate cash so you save on the bill when you come prepared.
The staff clearly are of the highest quality of integrity, honesty, and caring for people. My fourteen year old son left a wallet behind that his grandmother who recently passed away had gifted him. Two days later they had held it for us. My son had cash, various size bills, and a cash app credit card and it was all there. We are so thankful and feel blessed that my nephew wanted Mexican food for his birthday meal.
I recommend taking your family there to be well cared from the carefully prepared quality food, to service and even unforseen events. Casa Tlaquepaque family will take...
