Do not buy a gun safe from this store!!! I purchased a 600 dollar Cannon gun safe from this store on Monday June 19th, 2017. When I had moved the safe home and removed the box, the safe looked like it had been smashed with a sledgehammer or dropped from a forklift. I'm not a petty individual and if it would have been some small imperfections I wouldn't have thought anything about it. I called the shift manager Zach Barber to see what could be done and he said all he could do was exchange the safe. Keep in mind that this safe is anywhere from 350 lbs. to 500 lbs. so it's not that easy to move even with a few grown men. I managed to get the safe back out of my house onto the trailer and called Mr. Barber back to get me another safe ready, not one time did he say he was sorry about the trouble or anything of that nature, but he did make a comment as to why I didn't check the safe before I left the store. Needless to say that was the point where I wanted my money back and was no longer interested in doing any more business with this unprofessional shift manager. On top of all that, the new safe he said he would exchange if I brought it back was actually the display. After 2 hours of arguing on the phone after several phone calls, he finally decided to give me a gift card from Academy for my gas. The only person who apologized for this disastrous experience was a young girl behind the customer service counter. Be careful what you buy from this store, because obviously they don't rely on good customer service only volume of sales. Trust me, I found that out first hand. Don't let the same mistake...

Store was clean, shelves neatly stocked & price tags shined. The smiling lady at the sunglass counter ( I guess that's what it is called, right when u walk in) greeted us as we entered. We made our way to the football cleats isle, it's the one that does not have a sign on it like all the other cleats. Baseball, soccer & so on. We did not find the size or color we were looking for at first, even though they had stock. It was just not our size. I approached 2 employees in the shoe area to ask a question. But I was ignored relentlessly. We did eventually try on 1 pair we got off the top shelf. Me & another dad located some steps, snagged them, took them to our isle & took turns holding down the contraption as the other grabbed the boxes off the top shelf. He was in need of soccer cleats, the other side of the football cleat isle. (Its marked with a sign) They unfortunately were not wide width. So then we went to the pads & helmet isle. After moving crates from the center of the isle so we could get to the arm pads. We did find them at a great price, but by then my son had gave up paying attention. Clean store, stocked shelves & that smile get ya 3. Cant give you the rest if they were not earned. I will shop online from now on if it comes...

My daughter started a new job and she had the wrong shoes she needed for her feet. We tried everything with the new shoes she had. It didn't work , and was exhausting between both of us working 12 hr shifts. I ordered a pair to pick up in the store, and she tried them on in the parking lot. They were too narrow, so we went back inside to see if they had a wider width. It was not available, and we had to shop. She had just got off work, and I had just finished up 12 hr night shifts. We were both tired, and truly did not know where to start. 2 of your employees appeared in the shoe department. It was on a Sunday night. I think it was August the 6th. I didn't get their names, but they were so helpful, and glad to help us select a shoe that would work. I just wanted to recognize them for their excellent customer service that is rare thus day and time, and how much we appreciated the help. The shoes worked, and I appreciate their kindness, helpfulness, and knowledge. Good job to these two young women. Also, the store pick up cashier was quick, helpful, and knew how to do her job!
