Tekila Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Jackson

This place is extremely busy and they pack it to the max so that effected my review somewhat.

The atmosphere here is not really that cool... And I hate to say that and I'm going to give it another try, but as much as I try I can't like the atmosphere here. I really think it's the huge open layout and the very visible chaos that seems to occur when you pack a small building with lots of people. They need walls that separate that open space to break everything up.

Food was good, cheese dip was spicy-which is good. Salsa was really good.. So food was good, drinks were about right for a Mexican style restaurant.. 6 bucks for a large XX, so priced nicely! Their margaritas were alright my buddy got one and it was all just mix... We sent it back so they could add some tequila to it, and I have to say they made things right on that end! I got the TexMex burrito, which is a big burrito that has shrimp, steak, and chicken in it. It was really good, and I'll more than likely get it again!

Service was slammed but somehow seemed to get to us and make sure we had drinks and our food got it. Service was great actually, and it was easily the best part of the experience during our visit.

All in all, I'm going to go back and give it another shot. Food and drinks were good, and service...

Let me just start out by saying that the woman on the phone could barely hear me when I called my order in due to the absurdly loud music in the background. I was screaming into my phone for her to make out my order and then the poor woman had to repeat it back to me a couple times to make sure she got it correct. That one star is for her because she did great. As for the food....well the pictures are a result of my order. The picture with the rice and beans is supposed to be guacamole salad which would be great if there was actual guacamole. Yes it is made with avocados as you can clearly see by the brownish outside, however that is what you go and buy from walmart....prepackaged and gross. Ok now on to the main part of the entree....4 shredded chicken enchiladas. The chicken came out of a can. Plain and simple. It smells and tastes like canned chicken with no added seasonings to even attempt to dress it up. Nope just pop open a can of shredded chicken put into the dish nuke it dress the top and out it goes. I will not be spending my money ever again during another visit to Jackson TN. Someone's tia or abuela or mamá needs to go there and throw their chonklas at this...

This place is horrible. Our server was very rude to say the least. The hostess sat us down and brought us chips right away. Things looked promising.... but everything went downhill from there. It took 45 minutes to even ORDER a drink. Our waitor said he didn't realize we were here.... how does that happen? Especially with a group of 7 people. Then it took another 20 minutes to receive said drinks. We ordered our food and that took an hour to come out. By the time the food came, my friend needed a refill. The guy literally disappeared and never came back! We had to go to the host to go get him. Then he was really rude about it and kept giving a sour face at us anytime we asked for something. Which, mind you, we had to ASK for refills and hot sauce. It's not like we asked for much. Then I needed a box for my food and he literally rolled his eyes at me! The only thing that was good about this entire visit was the margaritas. Food was decent but not worth the price. This place is expensive and they automatically give 18% tips to the servers WITHOUT PERMISSION.... even if the server is garbage apparently. DO...
