Newbury Street — Local services in Jackson

Just wanted to share my experience. I went here to Newbury St. in Jackson to plan for 6 suits for a wedding. Everything was good on the first visit. We ordered the suits, I was advised they do weddings all the time that I did not need to call back and check to see if the suits came in or not. 1 month exactly before the wedding I still had not heard anything from Bo. I decided to call again, he did not answer. I left a voicemail and he returned my call the next day to tell me the order was misplaced and not ordered. He advised me that he would let me know the following Monday if we needed to worry or not. If you have anxiety, or just the desire to ensure a smooth planned out wedding day then I advise you to proceed with caution doing business here. At least ensure you have a few months before the big date. To continue with the story, I went to another suit store. Cambridge Limited in Jackson. I told them the situation, they kept suits in stock and had me and all other 5 guys altered suits before Bo at Newbury St could even call me back to tell me if we needed to be worrying. Bo finally called just a little over a week before the wedding and told me that the suits had came in and were ready for us to be fitted. I normally would not make a review on anything but considering this was a highly stressful situation for me I figured I would at least caution future...

I visited Newbury Street while in town visiting family with the intent to simply browse dress clothes like jackets and button-up shirts. Bo (the store owner) was an incredible resource of expertise among the different fits and styles. He constantly aimed to educate while being completely others-focused. My friend and I each ended up spending more than $200+ simply because of his kindness and willingness to see if he had what we were looking for. Equally important, his inventory of jackets, shirts, pants, walllets, ties, etc. were full of modern, unique styles that match today’s preferences with various colors in business/celebratory attire. If you want to blend in with the rest, go to Men’s Wearhouse or Jos. A Banks. If you want to stunt and stand out as a clean individual, get your next article of clothing from Newbury Street! Lastly, Bo was kind enough to throw in a free pair of dress socks for my friend and I each as we checked out. What a great guy! I will be buying something from Bo every time...

Sharing My Experience at Newbury St Menswear, Jackson Tn

I want to share an unfortunate experience I had at Newbury St Menswear. I went into the store to pick up a sport coat I had purchased but decided to return it because the sleeves were shortened instead of lengthened, as I had requested. When I explained this to the owner, he became aggressive and started cursing at me.

For my safety, I began recording the interaction, at which point the owner struck my phone out of my hand, injuring my thumb. I’ve attached the video so others can see what happened. The police were called, and I was trespassed from the store, even though I didn’t touch him or do anything illegal.

I’m sharing this to inform others about my experience and to encourage accountability. No customer should have to go through something like this.

I believe in supporting local businesses, but this behavior is unacceptable, and I hope this helps others make...
