Just stopped by to get a simple milkshake. It was about 11:15 p.m. Of course all the lights are on so we drove up to the speaker for the drive through window to place our order. We sat there and sat there and sat there. I then proceded to drive to the window where i once again sat there and sat there and sat there.
We saw at least three different employees sweeping and talking. They saw us looking at them as if we were supposed to know they were done for the night. I checked the internet to see what time Sonic closed and it clearly stated 12 a.m. for Friday night.
I was somewhat confused because it was 45 minutes before 12:00 yet no one could bother to take the time to tell us they had decided to close early. I thought perhaps no one had updated the web site. But then I saw a server taking milkshakes to a table outside. They were getting the milkshakes that I intended to order. I asked the employee if they had closed already and she replied "Yes."
I knew that they did not close on time because 11:20 is a rather odd time to close and surely the guests outside had not been waiting 20 minutes to get a freaking milkshake.
This is the last bad experience at this Sonic that I will endure. I would rather go to the Cookout where they are open 24 hours a day, much less close early. Even on a freezing cold snowy night when everyone else closes because of the weather, they will be there. Somehow they have managed to retain their employees when it seems like every other place has started closing earlier and earlier, supposedly due to a lack of workers. Checkers is another reliable place to dine. They're even fast, efficient and consistantly produce the same quality every time.
It makes no difference to me when they close as long as they do what they say they're going to do. It's called integrity, just another value ignored or perhaps excused in the name of "freedom." I know if I was the owner of that location, there would be a 'help wanted' sign on the door because those that forget who really pays their wages (ie: the customer) will soon find no one left to write the check. They'll all be at the Cookout.
This just tells me that management must be needed so badly that any warm body will fill the position. Or maybe no one is holding the management accountable. After all, they are responsible for everything that goes on during their shift. Surely a good business owner would be acutely aware of what takes place at their business.
I only report this so that maybe some unsuspecting customers wont waste their time depending on posted hours of operation. I wonder how many customers would attempt to dine there if they looked on Google and the hours posted said "Who knows?"
All I know is there are a growing number of businesses that will no longer enjoy my hard earned money, much less my loyalty. Life is short and I value my time. I refuse to accept these inadequacies as the new "normal." What's...
Read moreThe only reason i rated this a 1 is because i can't select a 0. i come to this sonic very frequently and here lately, the service has been awful. usually, i order the asian sweet chili boneless wings. 99% of the time, (when i finally received the small order of wings) there is very little sauce on them. in my opinion, if i wanted chicken strips, i would have ordered chicken strips. Just a few minutes ago, we pulled into an ordering stall, hit the red button. It took a second for the young man to answer but that's usual for us. Finally, the young man asked what he could do for me, i give him the order. he didn't respond. then, he comes back to the microphone and says "i'm back now." we give him the rest of the order. we see one person sitting inside by the window on the seal that worked there. there are several people going over there to the young man or woman, speaking, playing around. after waiting for about three minutes, the food came out. the wings were VERY dry and there was just a small amount of sauce that was drizzled on the wings. we immediately sent the wings back for them to put more sauce on them. when we asked for the favor, the young lady said "alright" very rudely. a different young man came to take the wings back in. we told him what we wanted and he said "all i was told is to come get the wings. i don't know what's going on, ma'am." They brought out my wings, they were ok. we asked the young lady who brought them out if she knew who the owner was and she claimed she had no idea. there has been many times i have had difficulties with this fast food restaurant but this has been the worse experience i have ever had here. Keep in mind, the whole time we were watching in the windows and door, they pointed at least 3 times and were dancing around and playing. Personally, i found it very disrespectful and really hope someone can fix this problem. Obviously i'm not the first person that has had a problem at this particular sonic...
Read moreFood is as expected for Sonic. Not terrible but not great. Their menu board barley worked so I felt like I was screaming at the employee otherwise they couldn't hear me. For some reason they always add sauce you didn't ask for. First tried to order in the app but the app limits your sauce per order, no matter how many items you buy.
There's a $1.99 men's with no instructions as to when it's valid but they charged us full price.
Pictured is a large tots 😐
I asked for a refill when we got dessert. We got out of the car to order thinking it would be easier. The employee looked at me like I was asking for her to do something crazy.
5 napkins for 4 people.
There are buttons on the screen but they don't work.
Bathroom was pretty gross.
Also if you have a soy allergy the menu is extremely limited although they do have some info online it can take time to figure...
