This place is a complete joke, please save yourself a headache and take your business elsewhere. My husband dropped both of our bikes here right before travelling out of state on vacation, of which we were taking our bikes with us. My bike needed a tune up, and my husbands bike needed a cranking noise from the pedals checked out. Needless to say we paid $70 dollars for our bike to sit there for two days untouched. I say untouched because we discovered TWO days later upon going out for a ride OUT OF STATE mind you, that the cranking noise had not been fixed, my bike was not shifting properly and the right brake had gone out. Had our bikes been serviced and or test ridded in any way these simple and obvious issues would have been discovered and fixed.(yes we should've test rode them before leaving, lesson learned) We took our bikes to a store down the road from our hotel and the mechanic there looked and fixed both bikes in less than 10 minutes. I will take my business elsewhere, and inform all my present and future acquaintances of the horrible service...
Read moreGreat experience with Don!! I stopped in to get a foam handlebar cover for a tiny toddlers balance bike. I just wanted to fix up a toy for my baby niece and another bike shop didn’t care to assist me after they realized I wasn’t there to spend the big bucks. Champion Cycling came in clutch! They could cater easily to a pro but were more than happy to assist with this sweet little ride I picked up at Goodwill. Don actually asked me to show him a picture of the bike. He analyzed the structure and found a quick and affordable fix. The product was to be delivered later that day so Don offered to take my number and give me a call to come in. He actually took the bike into the back to install a new handlebar grip….on the house!! He said he had an extra one in the back and was happy to help! Amazing experience from start to end - there just aren’t many kind people like Don around these days. Stop on by Champion Bike Shop for all your cycling needs …and perhaps even restore your faith in humanity. Thanks Don! (Adorably sweet...
Read moreLast time I had my bike tuned up at this cycle store they did a great job at a reasonable price. They replaced the cables for the brakes and shifters. My issue is that when the cables stretched (which is inevitable) when I took the bike back for an adjustment the manager wanted to charge me for the adjustment. I complained and he was rude. I’ve been an avid cyclist since 1988 and at every bike shop I ever went to if you bought a new bike or if you got new cables they would tell you the cables will stretch and when they do bring it back in and they’ll adjust it for free. When I told the manager of Champion Cycling this he said we never work for free. Is this typical for a bike shops around here? Took the bicycle to another bike shop this morning… The owner there said he had put the wrong brake levers on my bike for the type of brakes that were on it. If you read the other reviews on this page about a fifth of them are negative. Like a lady undergoing menopause…...
