Read moreThe beach itself it's beautiful. I've gone around 6 times within the past 2 months and I've notice a lot of trash being left behind. For memorial day weekend, there was SO MUCH TRASH being left by the water. Plastic cups, head ties, straws, plastic bags. I saw a man and his son, he was playing with a clear plastic cup (making castles and stuff) and they were about to leave & the man literally took the cup from his son & just left it there by the water. Also another man a few ft from that family, went to relax and ended up cleaning his area of the beach because of the amount of wasted stuff being left everywhere. That has been the only thing so far I dislike about the place, that some of the visitors do not CARE to maintain a clean environment. It's sad, very sad. Read moreWe recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn near Jacksonville Beach, and it was a fantastic experience! The hotel's direct access to the beach was a huge plus, and the included parking made it even more convenient. The beach itself was stunning - the white sand was soft and inviting, and the atmosphere was peaceful and serene. We didn't feel crowded at all, which added to the relaxing vibe. One thing to note is that there weren't any public restrooms at the start of the beach where we entered, so plan accordingly. The kids had a blast playing in the sand, and we all enjoyed shell-hunting along the shore. The beach was also surprisingly clean, which was a nice bonus. Overall, it was a relaxing beach vacation with plenty of natural beauty. The location and amenities of our hotel made our stay even more enjoyable....
