Man, it’s hard to write this. I have a lot of love for this store. I got my first guitar here at 12 years old. And I love Adam, he’s a very genuine person and salesman. But sadly, that’s not who I dealt with on this situation. I went in two days ago to try out some pedals, and made it clear I didn’t have my cash on me because I wanted to see what would be the purchase. Even after making that clear three times because I don’t want to waste anyone’s time, by the time I found the right pedal I got the whole ā€œso are you getting these today or?ā€ To which I had to awkwardly explain again that I was testing out to find the right one, and once I did that the vibe changed. I tried to help clean up, and I was rushed with the whole ā€œhey man I can take these from youā€ even though I wasn’t done. So I felt like I wasn’t welcome all of a sudden. I even had the pedals snatched out of my hands as if I was going to steal them. I was just helping to clear up the cables. It was very awkward but I let it go because again, I love this store. Which is also why I’m not 1 star reviewing. My respect for Adam and the history here is why I did 3 stars. But then I called tonight to ask if the pedal was still available, and if it was possible to get a small discount. Normally I wouldn’t bother to ask, but there is the option of Crazy Dave’s Music Outlet that outright discounts new gear without asking. And Zzounds will work with you and even offer payment options with no credit check. So to give Georges a chance, I asked. Besides, I’ve heard it many times before; ā€œwhenever you’re ready I can get you a good deal on xyz item.ā€ So I didn’t think it was out of the question. In comes Luke. Oh, Luke. Bless your heart. I asked him if there was anything he could do on the price, seeing as how it’s been offered previously. He said that ā€œwe’re pretty firm on the price. We gotta stay fair with the marketā€ Ok, cool. So I mentioned the market. How 15 minutes away from them Crazy Dave’s will work with me on price. Or online with zzounds. But I wanted to give them a chance. To which he replied, and I kid you not, ā€œwell man we value the relationship here, so if you’re looking out for your wallet we want to look out for the relationship with the customer more.ā€ Wow. I would have respected him more with a simple ā€œsorry man I can’t do it, but I’d like to sell it to you just can’t drop the price.ā€ That honestly would’ve had me driving in the rain to get there before close and accepted the fact there’s no deal but at least I’m supporting a store I love. But he hit me with that contradicting nonsense and I couldn’t believe it. I asked him if he understood how contradicting it was to say he would prefer to preserve the customer relationship instead of ā€œlooking out for my walletā€, and he just replied with ā€œI hear ya man, I hear ya but we value more the relationship with helping you get the gear you need more than looking out for your wallet.ā€ Again, I was dumbfounded. I told him I don’t know what sales meeting you heard this line from but it is contradictory and frankly, in poor taste. If he really cared about the ā€œrelationshipā€ he would’ve just been honest or just given a discount. I told him literally anything would show good faith but he just kept repeating the same cheesy line. I’ve been in sales, especially music sales for years. I’ve never dreamed of saying something like this to someone. Just tell me the truth, you can’t do it. Ok no problem see you in 30 minutes. I asked him what would stop me from just going to another store or ordering online then? And he offered ā€œfree shippingā€ and that it would be delivered by Friday. So the regular 3 day shipping even though it’s local. Again, I was so confused. If you can offer ā€œfree shippingā€ just take that difference off the product šŸ™ƒ I’m trying really hard to be objective and respectful here because I love this place. But he just wouldn’t drop the line for a third time ā€œagain man I hear ya but I can’t look out for your wallet just our relationship.ā€ Well, goodbye future business. Zzounds took 9% off in 5 minutes.

My husband is total newb at playing/learning the bass guitar. He picked up a nice starter Yamaha setup to learn the basics on. Added a picture for reference. Stopped in while we were in Jacksonville to pick up a few things to keep his bass in the best shape possible. We were immediately greeted at the door by very friendly staff. They took the time to listen to him so that they could understand where he is in his journey and where to point him. And for a newb going into an established company with experienced employees and explaining that you’re a total newb can be incredibly intimidating. I know because he talked about it before we went through the doors. Much to our surprise that was totally not the case. Yes he doesn’t have a million dollar Less Paul, Fodera, Fender, Ernie Ball, or Warwick but we were not looked down upon because of it. In fact it was quite the opposite experience. They were stoked and understanding that he was just starting out and gave us a suitcase full of pointers, tips and tricks that can only come from years of experience for him to be success in his journey. No up selling pressure, just the most basic starter equipment that we were already looking for. If we didn’t live 5 hours away and only here for a short visit, I’m quite sure that he would be back here often and probably even taking lessons from them in the future. They offered him assistance in learning, future equipment and motivation to continue should he ever need it because he becomes frustrated or whatever with simply a phone call to them. Rare and outstanding customer service, care, and tech support. Their selection of guitars from starter pieces to custom investment instruments was very impressive. Tons of accessories for just about anything that you could imagine. Plus their prices are pretty spot on reasonable. We spent a lot of time researching which bass to pick up and what the costs of each were in the range that he was shopping for. Their prices were not overinflated because they are a true brick and mortar retailer. But don’t take our word for any of this, go see for yourself. And ask them the difference between a banjo and bass guitar. I’m sure my husband left and indelible mark with his explanation.

I went into George’s Music today to buy some new guitar strings. I also had a few questions about an amplifier that I had bought that I could not get connected to my iPhone so that I could use the app remotely. I was willing to put out money to buy a new amplifier, that will better fit my needs. Because he wanted me to be happy with my purchase instead of buying a new amplifier he told me a workaround I had to buy an android Tablet and adapter. They all came today and works great. They saved me $600. I can’t say enough about this group. George’s Music is wonderful. June 29th Garrett invited me to a harmonica workshop at the store. I don’t know anything about harmonica and never thought I would be interested in harmonicas. But I did go to the workshop and was. First of all Garrett is so talented. It’s amazing the instruments that he can play. And the harmonica was so intriguing because I like the blues that I bought a pack of harmonicas before I left the store. Continue education in music courtesy of George’s Music, Adam and Garrett.. Thank you guys. July 16. When I bought my first guitar equipment from GeorgeS Music I bought an inexpensive tuner. As I’m older I have had a hard time reading the display, especially when I’m a little. Today I went out and bought a Taylor guitar tuner. This is the most awesome guitar tuner I’ve ever used It’s very accurate and let you know exactly where you’re at. I would. If you’re gonna buy a guitar tuner buy a Taylor they’re awesome and not too expensive either. Aug 1st I’ve been having problems keeping my Stratocaster tuned While I’m playing it. I took it in to have Luke look at it and he agreed with my research that I should probably. Locking tuning machines. I picked the guitar up about five days later. I’ve only had the tune in it one time since I got it home. Thank you so much for all your knowledge. You guys at the store have helped me so much. I’m sorry you lost Jared But Luke is awesome also.

Anyone can sell musical instruments, all about the same price, what you’re looking for is quality, friendly service. At their Jax. beach location the staff is the best. They are a perfect example of customer service. From their manager Mike, to their newest employee. They are there to satisfy each and every customer with quality and service to match. I made a purchase today. Luke was my rep. today. This young man is a worth of knowledge. Not a sales person but a people person. He’s always happy, friendly and ready to help. You can tell he’s mentored by Mike.

Today, Luke and the gang went over and above. I purchased an interface a few days ago. I had issues downloading the software. Luke contacted the manufacturer. He received a reply a few days later. He told me to come to their location and bring my laptop. The next day I was late arriving. As I drove up I saw Luke heading to his Car. He said come in. I said I can come back another day but he told me it was fine and come in. He loaded the software and then spent the next hour teaching me to use the interface. I then told him I was interested in a keyboard. He took me to the display and explained the operation of this keyboard. Luke should have left work a few hours ago but stayed to teach and serve me. Again, the staff is a great group of customer service individuals ( which is rare this day) and a wealth of knowledge. They’re not normal sales persons, they care about people. I will always return for my musical needs. Thank you.

Once again, Adam and Luke demonstrate outstanding customer service and product knowledge. Visiting their location is always positive.

Today I had an issue with a product. Luke discovered the problem and rectified it in short fashion. Once again, this store is a wealth of knowledge and information. I asked if I could exchange a guitar case I purchased yesterday and was promptly told of course. They always provide excellent customer service. I’ll be back.

Georges Music Jax. Bch. Is a full service musical environment. These associates are knowledgeable in all aspects of music.

I’m sure my husband left and indelible mark with his...
