If you are looking for interesting and popular stores, this mall doesn't have a great selection to choose from and hardly any good restaurants. Most of the stores that are in here aren't good ones like other malls i've been to.
What it needs is an Sbarros, Burger King, McDonalds, Chik Fil A, Taco Bell, Wendys, an arby's...and a papa johns.
How would one add that many food places to a court that's small? That's easy. remodel the food court. But instead have it where the restaurants are lining the walkway up until customers reach the intersection with the map.
Then in the middle of the walkway near the map, that is where you put the tables and chairs for the food. So when customers head toward the food court they will see the tables in 4 directions and think "Ah the food court. Time to eat."
The good news is that there is an orange julius and an auntie annes there already so thats a excellent starting points.
As someone from a builder's family, the location for the development of this mall is a very poor choice as it's next to a cemetery. You don't really want to think about that when you are eating delicious fast food.
The good news is that I did see they put up some cinder block wall to block the view of the cemetery which is very good.
Shops that need to be added here are: Payless, Footlocker, Tmobile, Chik Fil A, Gap, barnes and noble and a full stocked...
Read more3-4 years ago, I rated this place a 5 out of 5 when around the age of 12. During that time, I noticed that shops were closing, but at my young age I believed it would pick up with new and modern stores. Now at 15, within my highschool years at almost my high teen years, I am overly sad at the mall's current state. I remember the abundance of stores when I was even younger and used to love the atmosphere. Could never get enough of those pretzels, but you can't even get the pretzels at a decent price anymore for what seems like the owners are trying to hold on to a suspecting high rent charge! You only need to read other reviews to understand the current situation. Management of the mall in the little town of Janesville, change or leave it to someone else, no...
Read moreThe high rent has driven businesses away, with higher charges for those bringing in more revenue, thus capping success. This has left the mall nearly empty, except primarily for a few anchor stores. The food court is deserted, offering only pretzels. The hours are limited, and people mostly visit the mall to go for walks.
Just in the past year or so, the mall has lost American Eagle, C&Y, Journey’s, LensCrafters (moved outside into the parking lot), Luchador Tacos, Maurices, Rogers & Hollands, Ronmar Popcorn, Rue21 (company-wide closure), Tigerlily Boutique, & Zumiez. If you look a few years further back, even more stores have left or relocated.
Those leaving 3 stars or more are being extremely generous; the only bright spot is the farmers market...
