My husband and I will never return to this place for bingo. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. If you have never been there before, boy do they let you know. The first person we came into contact with said "newbies!" It felt like we were being stared at the entire time, to the point I didn't want to yell bingo because I felt so uncomfortable. I am also not sure what was going on with the caller and the gentleman in the red hat sitting directly in front of the caller. The caller would hold up the ball that was just pulled from the hopper and showed it to the gentleman. This was for every single ball that was pulled. Something very strange going on at this location. If you want to play real bingo, and not be made to feel uncomfortable, DO NOT GO HERE. I would have given zero stars if possible. We left during the first intermission and wasted probably $40 worth of cards. Very,...
Read moreI held my Bat Mitzvah there under the training of Rabbi Brummer. He told me that the older generation will continue to push away younger families away, then the halls will forever be silent. This was nearly 30 years ago. My family have several plaques all over the temple. But I know that if Brummer, who was great with children of all ages, were still alive today he'd be crying over how greed has wormed its ways into so many hearts. Why would anyone give the okay to hold Bingo games on the Sabbath, of all days?!?!? Or was everything that I learned in Hebrew School and my studies since a complete lie??? When you take down that offensive sign and stop holding Bingo games on the Sabbath (you have 6 other days to choose from!!! Choose one of them!!!!) I will rejoin you as my temple. Until then, expect no money from me for my yearly dues....
Sincerely,
A Student of...
Read moreWent there for Bingo with my mom on a Saturday night. A little expensive, but good jackpot payouts. A lot of people were talking and the people selling things would shout out what they were selling all night long. Yet the people near us had the nerve to tell us there’s no talking. I said back that I guess only certain people can talk as she was conversing with her friend the whole time. I guess Is cliquey there with the regular bingo crews. I can’t afford to lose $40 with a chance to win, but not likely. They serve food there and have bingo on Sat night and Monday mornings, except for Jewish holidays. Oh and a game called show me the money on Sundays. Ps- it’s very hot in there, yet many older people will complain they’re cold so dress prepared to sweat. My mom likes this place which is why I gave it 4 stars, but she’s more of a bingo...
