I was very disappointed in my experience with this particular book store and I've not been a huge fan of their version of a club over the year that I've had it (the same coupons nearly every time: $5 off $25 or $10 off $50... honestly where's the incentive to spend more when it's the same % off?). While I understand that it's close to Christmas, they really need to have better customer service. I waited at the customer service desk for close to five minutes when someone finally came strolling up -- mind you there were two cashiers with headsets on ringing people up less than 5 feet from me the whole time, but neither even looked at me. I told them what I was looking for and they said they had it in stock and called someone to meet me in the section it should be in. Their associates are not dressed to be easy to spot out of the average customer, to start, and I paced back and forth a few times by the girl before she finally asked if I needed help. I told her what I was looking for and all we did was exactly what I'd already done for 15-20 mins before that... paced back and forth through the aisles, still not finding it. She gave a half-hearted apology that she couldn't find it (she really didn't even know what I was looking for and it's one of a very popular set of books), and walked away. There was no offer to order it for me or anything. So in one last-ditch effort I walked back up to the customer service desk, again unmanned, stood there for at least 5 mins when a lady finally walked up but had someone with her. She didn't even look at me and tell me she'd be right with me or anything so I just walked out. Overall the store layout made very little sense, the aisles themselves were a mess, vaguely alphabetized with a bunch of books seemingly stuck randomly around them. I'll go back to Barnes & Noble even though it's not nearly so...

Edited 8/12/24. I was in here about a week ago, & I was very disappointed with the planner and calendar selection. I am not sure if they didn't have a lot due to it being over half the year done, and that's what they didn't have a good selection of year planners. On another note. I could believe how hot it was in there. The ac wasn't. And there some major leaking going on. Whoever owns the building should be sued. The other stores in the Plaza are having issues as well. And then there's the gross smell outside from the retention pond behind the Plaza. You catch it at the right moment. It punches you in the nose. O.G. Most of the time, they have magazine's or other stuff like funko pops available that I'm looking for. One female employee I came across 12/22/2023 shouldn't be working retail. Ever. They have a bad attitude, and it's like pulling teeth to get help and for them to answer your question. I asked a question. Then she stared at me. I asked the question in different wording, thinking it was my fault with the way I asked, and maybe she didn't understand me. It was simple. Where does this magazine go? I found it in some random place. Then she answered me so rudely. That's the only magazine we have. Well, where does it go? I'd like to see if there are others. No! THAT'S ALL WE HAVE! Still didn't answer me, I'm thinking. But where did it live before I found it in some random spot. In the mens lifestyles section. Ph, ok. Thanks. Like you're a problem, and it's not their job to help. When it is their job. Only giving 3 stars for the selection of stuff they had...

My fiance went here the other day to get money for a brand spanking never used excellent condition popular book - Fifty Shades of Grey from this book by back program of theirs. The reason we took the book there was to get the monetary value of the what the book was worth so we could use the money to get some food to eat. We are both disabled and are both on disability. Because of the partial government shutdown we didn't get our food stamps this month, so we ran out of money for food and we can't go to the food pantry until the 28th. Which at the time of the book buy back exchange would have made 8 days. The book was worth at least $15 or more. We only got 0.55 cents for it. ;( ..... So we are very angry and hungry. I was angry that day so I called the store to complain, and they were very cold and uncaring about the fact we got so little for the book stating that the book was popular and that they had a ton of them in the store, and to call customer service to complain...really! So I get 0.55 cents out of the deal and they make a killing off of my book. Never again. I will never use their book buy back program again, it's a rip off. They make a killing selling the books they buy off of you for very little, and you as in the person selling the book gets the shaft. All in all a very bad business deal. If you have to sell a book sell it on ebay or amazon; at least you will get the money you paid for it back if it is in excellent condition which is a much...

Book stores have become rare things in the modern world, but thankfully, Books A Million is still around. This store has become a regular haunt for us - it has a good selection of popular titles, a wide variety of periodicals and has a surprisingly robust game section. (Not video games - but table top games including RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons and strategy games like Risk and Axis & Allies.) While you can get some of these titles cheaper on Amazon, you cannot get a better experience anywhere in the area. Amazon is good for what it is, but at Books A Million, you can actually touch the thing you are considering purchasing, flip through the book and get a much clearer understanding if you want to buy the book. Another huge advantage over Amazon - the book you buy won't be damaged by improper packing at the Amazon warehouse and rough handling by the post office. Books A Million offers a buying club - sort of a pay now and save all year. We get good value out of it, so consider getting it if you buy more than one or two books a year.

As an avid book reader, Books-A-Million is top tier! From the fresh brewed coffee scent to the large variance in their book selections, Books-A-Million is the place to be. Teachers: take part in the educational discounts!! Parents: look into any upcoming activities that they may have. The attached photos were taken at the Harry Potter birthday celebration- FREE for all who attended. Children had the opportunity to make potions (slime in a potion bottle), paint wands (made from chop sticks), a Tri-Wizard Cup Tournament (whichever house had the most children show up), and a variety of other Harry Potter themed games. The host was all dressed up in her house robe and even brought along an interactive sorting hat!! Definitely an experience that my children will never forget.
