Major Toys — Local services in Jasmine Estates

I was always heartbroken my son would never get to experience an authentic toy store like from my childhood. Then I heard about Major Toys and saw they were opening up right down the road from us. We were excited to be able to stop in and check it out. I loved the little velvet rope entrance (how cute!). Not only is the store full of all the toys (and candy) little ones love, but it’s owned by a local military family and we always prefer to support a small business over a chain. We found multiple items we hadn’t found elsewhere and the prices were just right. The whole family that runs it was there helping out and everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable, right down to their 3 year old who ushered my 2 year old around the store and showed him his top picks for toys (adorable!). Since then we've back many times and our 2 yer old loves the store so much he asks "going to toy store?" whenever we drive in...

The lady in this establishment was extremely rude and racist! I walked into the store with my 5 year old daughter because she wanted a couple of dolls and Barbie’s. Now I am dark skin what some would refer to an Afro Latina/ black and so is my daughter. My daughter is only allowed to choose dolls that look like us meaning skin color. Not only were we not able to find ethnic dolls. When I approached this lady to ask for help she told me the store was not meant for us (blacks) questioned why I was in her store and summoned me to Walmart. I am extremely appalled, disrespected and will follow up with a formal complaint with the bureau of business and NAACP. So this establishment can be looked into further. Please do not patronize this...

The older blonde lady working was extremely rude I walked in looking for a yoyo which she said they didn't have at the time and I happened to see something else I wanted but realized it was expensive for what it was and put it down and the lady asked if I would like to put it on layaway to which I asked what that was again she then condescendingly said "you don't know what layaway is?" And scoffed as I was leaving she then made a remark to "come back when I have more money" she was very rude especially for a children's store
