Macadoodles — Local services in Jefferson City

Macadoodles in JCMO is a gem of a place if what you're looking for is craft beer, especially those brewed in Missouri. For the Jefferson City area, they are probably the best-stocked in terms of their beer selection. They also have a wide variety of wine, liquors and cigars as well. What impresses me most is that they also get some beers from Southern Illinois which is pretty tricky to source or find anyone that has Big Muddy or Excel Brewing's beers (though I'd love to see them get Lefty's Lager in sometime). They also do singles as well, but only a selection of what they carry is sold as singles at any given time, so keep an eye out as their stock does rotate. Their beer prices are also competitive with the rest of town and the major grocery stores in the area so you know you're going to get a good price for your beer. The staff is also passionate about what they sell and will happily provide recommendations on beers to try...or strike up a conversation on beers in general. Check your receipts. I was not given the 15% discount they offer on Wednesday on HALF of my bottles of wine. I went back in to the store to ask why and they said those wines were on sale. I said okay. I later remembered I had taken pics of the bottles as I shopped and looking back, they were not on sale. When I called to follow up they told me if they are in the system as on sale at ANY Macadoodles, the discount won’t apply. Huh? They wouldn’t correct it without me coming back down. Not worth the trip. Beyond this, they are very overpriced. Nothing like any other Macadoodles I’ve been to. And their allocated Bourbon event won you the right to buy limited bottles at hugely inflated secondary market prices. Stick to HyVee...

Big selection of over priced drinks. I’m just upset they made me feel like I was gonna steal the whole time. I know I probably didn’t have the best presentation, but they were watching me uncomfortable hard 🤷🤷🤷boomers won’t run into this problem I’m sure. But enough to make me wanna just do laps in there to overwhelm there poor insecurity...
