Overall, 4, 4.5 stars for the place/concept-numerous restaurants and a great variety of food, all in 1 place?! In a central location where's not much else? Brilliant. Food's been good, process easy/efficient, and food often ready faster than quoted. Serving sizes a bit small though from the several restaurants I've tried, and parking can be a challenge Customer Service: 1 star. This (Bad) Review is really for the customer service from Avondale's Food Pickup,. I thought about writing a review for Hawaiian Bros, the restaurant I ordered from, but think it's more appropriate to review Avondale's. They owe me money. I used a promo code (for $10 off) but I got charged me the full amount (could be a website order issue, IDK, but overall it was handled poorly). I contacted customer service on the website right away -they replied 2 days later (auto reply said it would be w/in 24 hrs) apologizing, "we will be sharing your feedback with the restaurant owner to help them improve, ", etc, and offered me a $5 off $15 order. Umm..PASS. Having to spend more money to get a discount, when they already owe me money, makes no sense. I replied as such and that it doesn't solve the problem -I want to be refunded the $10. Surprise, surprise..I haven't heard back. (it's been about a week) NOT happy. *will update review if I...
Read moreThis review is for Mod Indian Kitchen at the Avondale location, I ordered the Tikka Paneer & the Butter Fried Chicken. Everything was made fresh and arrived still hot. Food had a home cooked meal feel to it. The sauce for the chicken was delicious and reminded me of Molé with a nice suttle spice to it. The Paneer was delicious aswell, if you love the texture of cheese cubes in a oh so yummy sauce you'll love this Paneer. The Garlic Nan is what brought it all together. I could eat their Garlic Nan by itself as a meal if I wanted to it's my favorite always fresh and warm. You can really taste the quality this kitchen is dishing out. I except it to become a Chicago hot spot for authentic delicious and fresh Indian cuisine that leaves you with a melody of flavors on your pallet. It left me perfectly full with some to spare for...
Read moreAWESOME. It was an absolutely awesome experience for me. The nearest Famous Dave's is like an hour away, so I decided to check this place out. I had no idea how it worked, especially as there are no phones numbers available. So basically you walk in, and then order on the big tablet. They have the different restaurant kitchens right at the back. I ordered at about 6:10, and my food was ready at 6:19. I ordered an all American FEAST. The ordering process was easy(bc I ordered within the location), the food was made VERY fast, and it was soo tasty. The only semi iffy thing is the process of ordering online, my little brain got semi fried so I just went inside to order. I'm honestly shocked at how awesome the service was. There were two people up front that were really sweet and helpful too....
