You Are Beautiful — Local services in Jefferson Township

I believe in You Are Beautiful’s mission and love sharing it. I have given away more than 1,000 YAB stickers to people I know and more often, to people I haven’t met before. 99.99% of the time I receive a smile or other positive reaction. Last week someone asked me for a hug after I gave him a sticker. A few weeks ago a retired veteran in a power wheelchair asked me if I would peel the backing off the sticker & put the sticker on his wheelchair and we had a wonderful chat. I’ve bought many other encouraging and inspirational products from them such as a YAB tee-shirt and sweatshirt that I wear many places including a prison where I volunteer and the low-income senior housing apartment buildings where I work. I have been a member of the sticker club for over 5 years and I love how much joy these stickers bring to people. I like to hand them out to strangers and attach them to my tips at restaurants and bars. I also own various pieces of swag from clothing to art and love when people take the time to read the message and say it out loud. Not only is it a reminder to myself but a way to make someone feel special. I appreciate the concept and consider myself a full ambassador. I love that when people see the sticker in public places, they text me to see if I had anything to do with it. If you love spotting You Are Beautiful installations around Chicagoland, you have to check out their storefront/gallery! I stopped in today with limited time and was blown away by how many awesome things they have for sale—way more than I expected. From inspiring artwork to unique gifts, everything in the space radiates positivity.
