Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Jeffersontown

The store is not huge but the portions that they sell are! I have tried several of the pre-prepared items and many are very tasty. I have tried their lasagna as well as their meatballs and other entrées and find the quality quite good. I believe it’s similar to what they sell to large restaurants. And I am actually impressed with the quality of many of their items.

If you are preparing food for a large group this should be your first stop. I prefer coming here over other warehouse stores as it seems the quality is a bit higher here. The prices for the large sizes are also in line with the big warehouse stores. It’s much easier to find what you want versus wandering around in an enormous store.

They have a large selection of items that are not on display and you can either go online and order them to be shipped to the store or order them directly at the store and they will let you know when it comes in. This store has only a small sub section of what is actually available from GFS.

The store is exceptionally clean and the people are happy to help if you have questions. I buy to cook for a large group and they have the ability to set up an account to get money back after so much...

This is my new, go to store for food and supplies! The COVID-19 pandemic was more than enough reason to abandon Walmart and Kroger (to a much lesser degree). Even at times without an incurable virus, it's like pandemonium in those stores. Once March rolled around, I couldn't handle the frantic, rude crowds fighting over the last square of toilet paper. This GFS location has never been less than 70% stocked, but usually closer to 99%. I order some items online with a 2 to 3 day lead time. One email confirms placement, another announces its arrival. I retrieve the order at the service desk and add more items in the store. There's a free membership card and a points system, redeemable for cash. On my most recent visit, I spent over $100 and they kicked in a $10 discount that had nothing to do with points! The environment is clean, well organized and the employees are friendly and helpful. Thus far, myself and two others I shop for have been 100% satisfied with the quality...

I had a pleasant visit to GFS this afternoon. I was greeted immediately upon entering by a team member. Two more members were busy in the spice aisle and both greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed any assistance. I was in my Chef Uniform so we had an interesting conversation about food. It was like catching up with two old friends. The pleasantries didn't stop at the checklane either. The young man was smiling, energetic, and expedient with my order.
