Recently, I returned to LSC for a session and left realizing just how much I needed it. That morning had been chaotic and naturally everything imaginable went wrong. Which left me mentally distracted. Much to my relief no one else booked a session at the same time, so if I wanted to have a complete meltdown during the process I could do so comfortably. Instead I enjoyed a guided meditation that helped focus my energy in the right direction. So much so that as my session ended I noticed a heart drawn in the salt on the ground. One I had not noticed upon my arrival. I was so confused by it that I even asked if it had been there the entire time. As it turns out, it had been and I completely missed it before. Not because it wasn’t visible, but because my mind could not see through the chaos. Never have I experienced something so specific to shine a light on how important it is that we take a time out to clean out the clutter. Mentally, physically, and spiritually. If you’re feeling distracted, challenged, or just exhausted I recommend a session at LSC. Before, I didn’t believe in any of this stuff and meditation was a laughable concept with an analytical mind that’s constantly on, but I’ve experienced the benefits. On all counts. Now that allergy season is upon us, I need to go ahead and book a new session. You...
Read moreWhen I say I was skeptical...I mean it! I took my niece for her birthday and didn't really expect much but to sit for 45 mins and think of all the things I could be doing instead of sitting around in a pink cave for 45 mins! Instead, I saw down and talked for about 5 mins to a couple that were in the cave with us, then I leaned back in that chair and I forgot the world! I fell asleep and woke up maybe twice and I slept HARD and each time I woke up, I had to tell myself, girl close your mouth. I don't sleep w/my mouth open! LOL! I was soooo relaxed. The stress in my shoulders and neck was just not there. I was a little stuffy in my sinuses and that too was gone. I would recommend it. Even if you think it's not for you, just try it. If you don't have the same results that I did, I hope you at least get some really good sleep. They recommend sitting in the salt at some point and I did, but wasn't "moved" by it. It was just hard to me.
I recommend the Louisville Salt Cave and am planning on going back. (Be sure to bring a blanket if you going during "covid season". It gets cool. We rented the mitts for $10/pair and though I really like that they were heated, I wouldn't spend that money a second time, I'd probably just bring warm...
Read moreI’d like to share that I’m no stranger to the Louisville Salt Cave. Several years ago before Covid I often did monthly practitioner events at the Salt Cave and was able to appreciate the benefits of Halotherapy. Just this week with the new ownership and re-opening of the cave, I attended the practitioner open house and was given a mini Halotherapy session. Right away I began to release congestion I didn’t realize I still had! I had an upper respiratory illness 6 weeks ago. I am now breathing better not realizing I wasn’t! I’ve continued a positive detox throughout the week. I also experienced the red light therapy they offer and after one 10 minute session my lower back felt looser and more flexible. I highly recommend the soothing and friendly atmosphere of the Salt Cave and the tremendous health...
