Jacob is AMAZING!! I got engaged in 2021 and my now husband purchased a ring from a different jeweler in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. When he proposed he let me know that it had not yet been insured because he was waiting on the GIA report from this jeweler. Come to find out two weeks after our engagement this jeweler states that the ring he purchased was actually not GIA certified although my husband purchased it being told that it was. Long story short we ended up getting our money back and we were turned to Jacob at Gumer and I am so glad we were. The previous place also told us that my ring was SO RARE and that she wouldn't be able to find me another diamond like the one I had because there was a diamond shortage with COVID... Lady I wasn't born yesterday... We walked into Gumer and Jacob immediately assisted us and said he could have multiple diamonds for us to choose from that week. Fast forward 3 days later and Jacob had 3 diamonds nearly identical but better than the one I had from the other store. My husband and I sat with him for probably half an hour looking at each and finally decided on the perfect one. He helped us with a band too and we ended up with a set and we ultimately only paid $100 more than we originally did but with a better diamond that WAS GIA CERTIFIED, larger stones on my engagement band AND a wedding band. I ended up getting the rings a few weeks later and I have been in several times since for Jacob to clean and inspect it. Gumer is top notch and they truly saved the day. I will always...
Read moreUnfortunately I will not return. I had purchased a very expensive engagement and wedding ring several years ago. I have also been In From time to time to have the ring cleaned and bought a few other things. I’m no longer in need of the ring and decided to sale it. I had the potential buyer who was a man meet me at the store for my own safety reasons and the fact that I thought If he had any questions they could answer since I bought it there. The ring was over 10K. One of the ladies remembered me and asked how I’d been. I didn’t realize the gentleman had beaten me to the store and informed them he was meeting me and why. I asked if they could clean the ring. The lady behind the counter who had spoken to the gentleman actually rolled her eyes at me and said I would have to wait. The other lady quickly came over and did clean the ring. Once she brought it back she said I would “have to go conduct my business elsewhere.” There wasn’t even anyone else in the store. While I can see they might want to sell their own ring (I honestly didn’t think of this) it also floored me as they treated me so well when I was spending all of my money. Just thought people may want to know how you may be treated after your transaction.AND THATS WHERE THIER CARE...
Read moreI took my watch to Gumer to see if they could get it running (I wasn’t sure if it was a battery issue or something else) and replace some missing screws from the band. I called to check in after I dropped it off and spoke with Jacob Gumer. He told me he had reached out to the company that made the watch to see if he could get the replacement screws needed for the watch. It turns out the screws are very unique and difficult to replicate. Jacob emailed the company and called them multiple times. The company apparently has very poor customer service and refused to help. Jacob apologized for not being able to complete the service. They did get my watch running and didn’t ask for me to pay for the repairs. Everyone in the store was pleasant to deal with. Even though they were unable to repair the band, I felt that they had done everything they possibly could. I would recommend this business and would absolutely return if I need anything...
