UPDATE TO THIS, Friday March 7, 2025 A BIG SHOUT OUT to Ross, The Manager, Meg and Brandy, our Servers, and the KITCHEN staff. My Cousin's Birthday lunch was AMAZING! Connors is my new FAV place to go! I had the Grilled Chicken with the Goat Cheese and my Cousin had the Salmon. We split an order of the Deviled Eggs as an Appetizer. You have NOT lived yet until you try Connor's Deviled Eggs! I so wish I had taken a picture of them. I did remember to get a pic of my Chicken and the Strawberry Shortcake that we had for dessert. It is BY FAR the BEST SS Cake WE'VE EVER HAD! Their coffee here is SUBURB as well. Thank you to everyone at Connors!
December 23, 2024 We went to Connors for a special Anniversary Celebration. I was immediately impressed that along with the Christmas Trees on the Tables there was a Menorah displayed on a Mantle.
We had made Reservations and were Greeted nicely at the door and promptly seated. There was a lovely young lady that held the door open for us. She also, later on, assisted me in the Ladies room by making sure there was soap in the soap dispensers. She was smiling and seemed to really be enjoying her work.
I ordered their version of an Old Fashioned. It was the BEST Old Fashioned I’d ever had at a Restaurant. Hot Rolls were offered with Pesto Butter. I’ve never had Pesto Butter before so it was really a treat when I took a taste of it on the Hot freshly baked roll.
I chose the half portion of the Spinach Strawberry Salad as my starter. It was fresh, crisp, and absolutely what I had been craving! The Vinaigrette was some of the BEST I’d ever tasted. I wish I had taken a picture of it before I started eating it because it was so pretty!
We decided to split a 9 ounce Filet dinner and we ordered an extra side to share. The Filet was cooked to perfection. We would have liked to asked for Medium Well, but most places undercook with that, so we requested Well done and it was excellent. They probably would do a perfect Medium Well here; their Chefs know what they’re doing. For our sides we chose the Roasted Corn, Mac and Cheese and creamed Spinach.
We were VERY IMPRESSED at the Presentation of the meal. Instead of us having to cut the Steak in half, they had done it for us and all sides were very well seared.
It was really one of the BEST Steaks we’ve ever had in the Louisville area. I want to give a special thank you to our Server, Niyah. She was very attentive, pleasant, professional and helpful. Also, thank you for the Card and everyone that signed it and for the take home dessert! We were simply to full to eat another bite!
All of the food was so delicious! Connors Steak and Seafood made our evening very special. We look forward to...
Read moreIf I could give this place no stars I would. We called around 9:25pm on Saturday and spoke to a manager named Ross about getting a table for a last minute birthday celebration. Over the phone, the manager was rude; his tone with us wasn’t pleasant letting us know if we don’t arrive by 9:45pm we wouldn’t be able to sit down to eat. We chalked it up to it being late and them accommodating us on why he had an attitude. When we arrive he lets us know that all of our party needed to be there to seat us. Once we were all there he tells one of the girls with us her shorts are too short. We didn’t complain just went out to get a jacket to cover her up, no big deal. When we come back inside he now proceeds to pick another person and says that he is flagging her for dress code. Then picks another person as well as if we weren’t all standing in front of him before we went and got the jacket the first time. After a bit of back and forth I let the manager Ross know that if he didn’t want us dining in the establishment he should have just said so. It felt as if he was racially targeting us and was very discriminatory. His tone of voice and choice of words towards us wasn’t what I would expect from a fine dining restaurant. There isn’t even a dress code on their website. Monday around 3:10pm I called to speak to the general manager Peter. He was no help at all, told us that yes there isn’t an established dress code on the website, but you should be appropriately dressed when coming inside. Mr. Ross lied to his general manager about the clothes we had on saying one of us walked in with a swimsuit bottom on. The general manager Peter vouched for Mr. Ross saying he has never known him to be discriminatory and went to bat for him even though he was not present at all for any of this interaction. Connor’s is not a friendly, warm environment. I would not patronize this...
Read moreHad the trout with cream spinach and couscous. Trout was cooked nicely but no flavor..couscous was ok but needed to be warmer. Cream spinach was great consistency but didn't care for the Asiago cheese in it. The pineapple salsa was OVERWHELMING HOT..deviled eggs great consistency but tad too much mustard..but the bacon on top was EXCELLENT. Was told eggs would be sweet which is how I like them with a touch of sugar but not as told. I really only ate the 3 eggs and couple bites of fish and then the HEAT of salsa hit me. I don't mind spicy or hot but OMG.. IWe were never given bread and when saw our waiter giving it to others and asked why we didn't get any he offered but meal was over..smh...my lunch partner mentioned that I didn't like what I got...I was just going to let it go. He asked her if she needed a box for her remaining meal but just took my plate away 1st and it definitely had LOTS of food worthy of a box. Wth??? The manager did come over and offered to bring me a new meal so I got the chicken club to go. The sandwich was juicy and fries were good and packaged well. Thank you for that. My friend then decided to order dessert ( chocolate cake with frozen ice cream) and she LOVED IT. Thank you again to management as it was complimentary as my lunch was also. I don't know if I'll be back. One more thing: I never got my empty water glass refilled and the waiters apron was dirty...need to pay attention to detail especially how the restuarant shows itself which is upscale but lunch affordable. Again thanks to management for wanting to make my dining experience right. I truly appreciate it. Both my sons are servers in a well known restaurant and I hear the horror stories along...
