Specifically this is for the pharmacy. My partner has been without medication for over a month because of the incompetence of the pharmacists at this location. As of 2 months ago, there had been only small issues (telling us the medication would be ready by one day and waiting an additional 2 or 3 days past that to have that medication in) but this past refill has taken so many hurdles to jump over. Even though the doctor had sent over the prescription, they refused to use the deal that had been worked out with meijer for the price of the medication ($10) they told us they had never heard of such a thing (she has used it all year, august is the first time we have had an issue) and that doctors sometimes lie and that we would have to call them. The doctor personally called us back and sent the script in again with a note on it describing exactly what they meant. They still refused to use the coupon, and were disgustingly rude the whole time. The doctor had to contact this pharmacy directly to get them to find the coupon that had been used at this location before. I understand not all staff will be able to be fully trained at first, but even the head pharmacist said he knew nothing about it and just shrugged. Today, with everything almost finished, we were only able to pick up half of the medication we needed, told it would be ready tomorrow (Tuesday) after being told the prescription would be ready Monday. We have tried to pick up this medication since the first week of august. She had left her license in the car, and when I went to go and get it, she witnessed the person at the register berate an Asian man for his English skills. Another person had forgotten their license and when they left to go and get theirs, the person at the register loudly complained about how it was ruining her day. I am sorry that this girl was having a bad day, but being rude, being difficult, and making it impossible for people to obtain medication that is needed is inexcusable. Unfortunately, we will still have to go through meijer for this particular prescription, I will now be driving the extra 10 minutes both ways just to go to the one...
Read moreDon't shop at this store. The employees are rude (especially YOLANDA) and the supervisors are incompetent. I was called today by a woman who didn't give me her name but, asked me to come in for a interview tomorrow. I called the store back to talk to the "woman". I talked to a gentleman who said he had all the floor supervisor in front of him and no one had called me and I should call New Albany. I called the number that was on my caller ID and it was the Jeffersonville store. Then I told him that she called me to interview for Fashion and/or Cashier. All of a sudden there is another supervisor that he hasn't talked to. He first told me he had talk to all the supervisor that were there today. Then I was put on hold for 5 minutes and no one ever came back to talk to me. I hung up and called back. I talked to this woman named YOLANDA!!! She was the RUDEST, NASTIEST person I have ever talked to in my life. She was suppose to transfer me but, instead cut me off. I returned my call and asked to speak to someone in customer service,I was transferred to Grand Rapids Michigan. I spoke to the lady about my awful experience with "the floor manager who spoke to all his supervisor and told me call New Albany and YOLANDA who was so rude to me it makes me wonder how she treats customers." The lady in Grand Rapids gave off the attitude like she didn't care and transferred me to another guy so I could make a complaint. Long story short he didn't care that his floor supervisor has know idea what is going on in his store or that a woman named YOLANDA who is rude to potential new employees and/or customers. He said "so you don't want to work for us." That is all he heard. Not that he has rude and incompetent employees/supervisors. Also, I was told by this man that YOLANDA the rude woman doesn't work at the service desk. So why is she even answering the phone there. The MAN didn't care. I would love to be able not to give this store any stars because they...
Read moreThis Meijer recently underwent a pretty major overhaul and I am FINALLY getting used to the new layout. It's always been clean and pretty well organized. My cashiers are generally friendly, helpful and polite, last night was no exception. The biggest complaint I have is that many floor personnel (cashiers, customer service, & garden center excepted 😀), including bakery, deli, electronics, holiday, shoes... basically ALL departments, in my experience, disappear when you need assistance. Then, when you catch one or have one paged to help you, they act like doing their REAL job is an inconvenience...ATTN: MANAGERS, stocking shelves, setting up end caps, getting out Holiday Merch is secondary to CUSTOMER SERVICE. Floor personnel can't be expected to do both RIGHT NOW without sacrificing the quality of both. If you sacrifice the quality of Customer Service you won't need to worry about the rest... because you won't have customers buying your stock. If you aren't overloading your employees and they still suck, a.) fire them, b.) you aren't treating them fairly; first poor managers/supervisors cause more drama and problems than individual employees ever do... favoritism, gossip, leaking information not meant for lower level/hourly workers, getting too 'personally involved' or fraternizing with co-workers or employees, not providing oversight or guidance, throwing others under the bus when mistakes are made, etc., etc. So regularly audit managers overtly and covertly to weed out slackers, bullies, and shifty characters. Give your floor/sales employees competitive pay, offer decent hours, listen to them and take their concerns seriously. If you respect me as a consumer enough to provide the highest quality produce & dairy products, the hottest video consoles and games for my children, attractive shoes, clothes, make-up, homegoods, but don't provide me with the same level of sales people...you don't really respect me, you only...
