Grimy & very worn inside. What appears to be Layers of years of dirt embedded in the interior. Maybe pressure wash the dining room. Sad to say this is the best fish in the area. Fish is over fried to my liking. Pretty decent quality and not the greatest. Courteous and friendly staff. Customers don't realize they can save money: #1 x 2 with tax about $16. #4 with another drink with tax about $13. Good go to place every once in a while as not much else in the area to choose from. Consistent service and quality. Update: apparently dining room floor was updated. Fish still over fried although tastes all right. Manager on duty was very professional and friendly. Hush puppies are pretty good. Coleslaw is good.

Update: went in to eat there but old building smell or sewer back up smell encouraged me for take out. I got my usual to go. The hush puppy didn’t taste right this time. Ingredient missing or not fresh. Something just not right with it. Consistent quality with fish, fries and coleslaw. Even though coleslaw comes in tiny container it is actually pretty good. I personally don’t care for the young man who bags the orders and hands the food to the customers. Not the best fish around but descent.

update: been back several times since last review. consistent quality and nice staff.

update: wait in long drive thru line, went faster than expected. from arrival to drive away with food only took 8 minutes and 46 seconds. way faster service than McDonald’s. get #4 and split between two people. friendly staff. satisfying food. thank you.

update: not near the best fish but it’s a local staple. Fried Cod here. Had to wash hands in ladies restroom, liquid hand soap smelled like disinfectant cleaner, which i couldn’t get off my hands to enjoy my fish sandwich, i complained to the young staff, who were really oblivious, didn’t appear to find merit in my complaint and unable to reply in proper manner. We hit the parking lot and the open sign was still on. There was a car at the drive thru window and one at the ordering board in front of us. They finished serving the car and the window and the one in front of us then they just closed. They didn't bother to say sorry we are closed now or anything. The little girl just walked away from the window after we sat there. My husband pulls up to the window and the workers just ignored us. Finally after the fourth employee walked by one young man opened the window and said we closed and slammed it back. I understand it was late but the open sign was on and the other customers were taken care of. You most obviously don't need customers if you can afford to ignore them so next time we want fish we will go...

I go to Moby Dick because there's only one or two or three places. You can get any decent fish anymore. I like to go and I'll pay a tad more if it's the same the way it used to be, prices go up we know, but when the price goes up and this portions go down, we don't like that at all and you're not fooling anyone. So I haven't noticed that. Moby Dick size of say whale of a sandwich has gone down all that much but their main competitor has and don't think we haven't noticed. So I have taken the long way around to get to Moby Dick just because of that. Believe me we notice.
