FAMILIES BEWARE: Beautiful store, wonderful merchandise, unfortunate customer service. My child broke something in the store, we happily paid for it, full retail, apologized profusely. We did ask some questions (like do you have insurance for these types of accidents, can I pay cost rather than retail). One customer service rep decided she couldn’t handle these TWO questions and proceeded to tell me how inappropriate it was to ask and if it was her she would happily pay whatever due to her “negligent” child. Super offensive. Her behavior and demeanor was appalling and worse than my “negligent” children - as if bringing a child into the store was a personal attack on her. I told her asking questions was fair and they’re not inappropriate questions to ask in such a situation. And policy aside, which I didn’t fight, “you break it, you buy it” is not policy you can enforce. I took responsibility, I asked calmly and kindly. You could have just answered our TWO relevant questions but to shame me?! That’s the most unfortunate thing that occurred today.

Read moreThe store owner was quite rude. Later I noticed all other stores in area had a sign in the stairs up saying staff only, or had a rope in place. Instead of telling me politely there was nothing up there, when I stood there for a few seconds wondering, she waited until I had come down the stairs to berate me. This is a shop, it should be enjoyable, and the lady working should get some better people skills, I'm sure I'm not the first person to waunder up there...
