BEWARE OF MEAT THEFT within store - Store management is responsible.

On 9/6/20, I ordered a half goat which was given to me in 9 or 10 plastic bags, but the billing code was only attached to one of the bags (see photo). Because the cart was heavy, I left it by the alley, while shopping for other stuff.

In the interim, I suspect a store employee or the store manager pilfered 7 pounds of meat from my cart, costing $66.43. I had not yet paid for the meat. This person was aware of a loophole - that the entire billing charge is attached to a single bag, leaving anyone free to walk away with untagged bags.

At checkout, I gave my cart to the cashier who billed me for all my tagged items. After paying, I noticed the quantity of meat was much less than what I'd ordered. I went home and weighed, and found 7 lbs missing. So I received only half the meat I paid for.

The store manager offered to give a partial credit, but I demanded nothing less than a full credit / refund for the overcharge. A customer is not responsible for items not purchased.

The store has no CCTV installed in the main alley, and I suspect complicity of store employee(s)/manager.

I am a customer for more than 4 years. Al-Amana Meat Market is always my store when I am looking for Halal ( And I mean real Halal Zabiha ). They have wonderful foods, authentic spices and products that you cannot easily find around. All items are halal friendly for the family. The Lamb, Beef, Chicken and Turkey are freshly prepared and cut to you specifications. The butcher selection is one of the cleanest and it became much better after renovation, and don't forget to mention the couscous and basmati rice prices are worth it!

I tried many times different stores but none of them could provide what Al Amana is providing.

This store has an excellent customer service and from the owner Brother Muhamed to all employees, They are all friendly and ready to help you . And you feel at home when you enter by seeing all the Middle Eastern and North African groceries .

We have been regular customers for almost 7 years and saw the store going through a change of management. We exclusively go there for the halal meat as the quality of their meat is much superior to other halal meat store even if it comes with a little pricey tag. The meat department is managed very well by Aslam Bhai and as long as he is there, it’s v neatly maintained and well organized. People complaining of smell of meat from a meat shop should consider ‘beyond’ meat products. We take the meat and pay for it immediately or order it over the phone in advance and pick up the bags and never have we experienced any shortage or pilferage by the management or store employees. Also, I would say that it’s common sense not to leave your bags unattended before or after paying for it and then suspect theft but we are grown...
